Hello Reoville. Hope everyone had a beautiful day in the neighborhood today. It was cloudy as usual, but here, that's a good thing :) I'm hoping you guys can help me troubleshoot a drainage issue with one of my RM2s. It doesn't drain very well. Most problems I have can be traced back to user error, and no doubt this is one of them, but this has actually been a problem with this atty from the get-go (I got it with my Woodville in March). I realize that over-squonking is the most likely culprit, but I don't think that's it, or all of it anyway - no drips or dribbles out the air hole and no problems at all with the other RM2. With the other one, I always get the slurppy sound after I squonk (I love that sound), so I know the juice is being sucked back down into the bottle. I don't hear it nearly as much with this one. So far, I've: 1) notched the feed tube so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the juice bottle; 2) made sure the cap on the juice bottle isn't on too tight and the o-ring in there is centered and lying flat; and 3) checked to make sure my wick isn't covering the squonk hole. Anybody have any suggestions for other things to check or watch out for?

Could the coil be responsible for a blockage? It is my understanding that the coil should be as close to the side as possible. I also think that mine seems to perform better if I do not leave a very long piece of cotton wick. Could just be me. The only other thing I can think could possibly cause this issue would be that there may be a build up in the shoot that goes up to the atomizer base. Maybe a real warm water cleaning would help. Look forward to learning something here though. I use to try to learn as much as I could about lots of things.........now I'm only concerned with learning as much as I can about REOS. :D

Has the problem RM2 been fully disassembled and reassembled as shown in the link:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...2-full-atomizer-itself-rebuild-pic-heavy.html

If so, I believe there is an error in the pictures - 3 & 5
I believe that these pictures show the round two hole threaded brass insert upside down
It should be flipped so that the little milled section is facing the ceramic

This alleged error has not be confirmed by anyone but I believe it could definitely be a Squonking & Drainage problem. If anyone can confirm or refute this, Please Do So

I ALWAYS flip the "cut-out" up to face the ceramic. ALWAYS!! If mine looks like the picture...I feel I did it wrong.

Thanks Izan
And I think your doing it right
Heres why

1) If the round brass plate is installed like in the picture the 510 positive pin will only have half a threaded hole to screw into until it reaches the surface of the milled section. The pin does not even reach this section when properly adjusted. A squonk must first fill the underside of the ceramic area with juice before indirectly working its way to the ceramic juice hole. If the 510 pin DOES reach the full threaded hole of the round plate then a squonk does nothing, since the juice is blocked by the ceramic.

2) When the round brass plate is installed with the cut out facing the ceramic, the juice and suction are aimed directly at the ceramic juice hole and the 510 positive pin has a full threaded hole to immediately screw into.

Is the vape ok? I have 3 reos only one of them makes "noise" when sucking it back down. But, the other 2 are working fine. They only starting making noise when my juice bottle is less than half full for some reason. What I've found is just because it's not making noise, doesn't mean it's not working.

The noisy one works great :)

Thanks for all the tips, folks. I got to thinking about what I was saying about not being able to "catch it in the act," i.e., I never saw it puddle up when I was watching the squonk with the drip tip off, and I started wondering if the tip had something to do with it. That's the only drip tip I've ever used with that atty, and it's a very tight fit. I took a closer look when I got gurgly earlier today, and the excess juice was up in the cap. I'm thinking maybe the extra-tight fit of the drip tip affects the pressure or the contours inside the cap so that condensation and excess juice gets stuck and builds up in there. I put on a different tip, and so far so good. Hopefully, it's that simple - user error, like I said. Next time I rebuild, I'll give it a bit of a soak and a good rinsing just in case - something I should be doing anyway.
