There are other shipping options available for parts...you can message Rob to find out more about it.

Here is a post I found about the screws, but need to find out from Rob if they are still the same screws.
For those that want to buy the screws in bulk you can find them here McMaster-Carr
screws part # 92029A085
hex key part # 7289A32

I stroked my jeweler's screw driver with a magnet (like 10 strokes) to magnetize it. It picks up (and holds) the "ss" Rm2 atty post screws no problem.

I believe the size I got at the hardware store (very specialty) was 1-72 machine screw. Trying to double check . . . .

Also, many of these atty post screws are interchangeable. I steal from one to aid the other.

ADDIT: just checked here . . . 1-72 is equivalent to 2mm

Unfortunately imperial & metric thread pitches don't interchange though. 72 TPI would be .353 mm pitch. Close to .4mm pitch though & the RM2 post threads tolerance is pretty loose (that's why the screws can get loose) & they're brass so that's why they probably work.

I wonder is there are any USA made atties out there that would use imperial threads?

Yeah I could feel that it wasn't a perfect match; but I've been doing it for some time (20, 30 rebuilds) and nothing's the worse for wear. So, good enough, I figured.

Hi guys,

Phew it's ok, the wife is the accountant at a firm where they make machines for like University's, Hospitals and research labs, they said they would be able to get them no problem. Thank you all for your very kind offers and advice. One day I will get a hang of building my own without a swore neck, pricked fingers and dropping stuff :)
