So my wife's new RM6 just arrived today. When I went to install the deck to build her coils, I noticed that the threads were really tight and it wouldn't seat all the way down. I took it back off and installed an o-ring in the cup thinking maybe it would close the gap. The o-ring closed the gap so I thought I was good and built her coils. I went to fire and pinch and it did nothing. It wasn't making a connection at all, and the threads were still tight. I took it off once more and removed the o-ring and then tried again to seat the deck. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to fully seat with my fingers.

I probably broke every rule against installing an atty, but I had to resort to a pair of channel locks and a soft rag so I didn't damage the deck. With the pliers, I was finally able to grip the deck and turn it the rest of the way to seat it down. Now that it's seated fully, I was able to get a good connection and fire the coils.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the RM6, but it was just weird how tight those threads were. I'm sure now they will loosen up once I remove it the next time around. I know what everyone's thinking, and I didn't cross thread the atty on the 510. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this same issue before and what they did it correct the problem.

Both my rm5's I got from you threaded on no problem at all.

The rm6 I got today gave me a little trouble but I managed to get on fully seated and working so my wife is still happy.

I'm guessing there's no way I could just order the top half of the rm5, so this time I opted for the 6 to try it out.

Could anyone point me in a direction to only get the top half of the rm5. The deck I have is rendered useless for now, my wife lost the top last week while camping.
