After getting the Woodvil and loving the flush top, I am wondering if the Metals could be milled without the little step up to the 510 connection? I imagine you would need a longer button for the added thickness but I think a a flush top on the metal Reo's would be killer!! Heck even metal milled like the woodvil with the side button :)

I think the height the top button would gain would make using short attys awkward. I have a REMatty mounted right now and it's only like 22mm to top of the tip from atty base. The atty itself is only like 12mm. To raise the button 5mm would start to jam my thumb into my chin. Just my :2c:

I'm ok with a side button, but it would have to be more flush like the Woodvil or it could hinder it from fitting nicely in some pockets. (ok, add another penny for the extra thought;) )

ohhh I forgot about the Resins coming out! I love the way the woodvils feel, but I am scared to tote them around the house with me and such, I notoriously grab my Grands while cooking and such and well wood would get ruined! I think the 2 woods I have will be all I ever get as I am just to danged rough on my Reos and the woods will be desk & watching TV vapes. I guess I am resigned to being a metal head LOL

:2c: The Grand is the flagship of Reosmods and remains rock solid in that roll. Still basically as it started out, colors/finishes to go with current trends, additions to improve performance and accept the atty's vaping was leaning to, the SL to appeal to those looking for more racy. But all of them no nonsense get it done in spades bottom feeders that will work reliably for years/decades. The Resin's won't replace the Grand's IMO because nothing can replace them. Compliment them probably, but not replace them.

I worry about the resin cracking over time. I love the metal one I have, but not nearly as much as the Woodvil. If Rob were to tweak the metal ones, I would say round off the edges, very similar to the design on the Woodvil. That would make it more comfortable in the hand.

And make it fatter hense weigh twice the weight atleast.

I wonder, has Rob ever done any plunger doors on the Reo Grand LP? I prefer the regular door, because of the cat hair, and dog hair. Right now the pets are still losing their winter coats. I think I could almost make a pillow stuffed with the hair that has come off the dog alone. Maybe a SL door, but not holes all the way through for me. I would love to have a copper or silver vein, or hammered design metal Reo Grand LP. But that is for way in the future I guess. The Woodvil by far is my favorite by a mile. I don't need to be looking at the Resins. I know if I look too hard, I will sure want one.

I would rather have a plunger for the door. I am constantly squonking. It would be sort of a pain to pull that door up, and down all the time. Once the bottle is broke in a while, it doesn't take as much pressure to squonk. I have arthritis, so I really like the plunger on my Woodvil. I hope he has more of them on the next run.

Definitely see a resin somewhere in my future. Woodvil I'm still on the fence about, cuz I'm just so clumsy. Pretty sure I'd love the side button, and definitely hopin some resins might come with plunger doors. Seems like both of those would make my hands happy. :)

I'm pretty sure I've heard rob say he has made special plunger doors for those who asked for them. :)
