Well, I figured out my issue with the ERA/Cyclone/IGO-S style atomizers (and it's embarassing), so now I decided that I like them :)

So, I may have missed them, but are there any reviews of Rob's new bottom feeding IGO-S? How well does the cap stay on? How sturdy are the posts? Do the posts turn easily as you're trying to tighten the screws? How easy is it to burn the positive insulator?

Can't think of any other questions. This is just based on the issues I've had with the various $5 replicas before.

Thank you!

I don't have one, so this is just hearsay, but I think the cap has two o-rings holding it on, which should make it pretty tight. super_X_drifter even removed one of the o-rings so that it's not so tight to get on and off.

I did but that's on a similar concept rba - the cyclone. I don't have an IGO S yet.

regarding the orings on the igo-s: I have 2 (from another vendor, modded myself), and both are a bit loose out of the package. I ended up running a bit of dental floss around the channel and put the orings back over it... makes it nice and tight, but you can still remove the cap without a horrible amount of effort.

Great idea with the floss! Just got one and the cap is REALLY loose. Juice actually comes out a bit because the cap moves just vaping on it. The deck is really small and I had to push the coil right up against the posts so it wouldn't contact the cap. Center post turns when even slightly tightening the wire mucking up my coils and if I tighten the screws anywhere slightly past "just" snug, they cut the wire. <sigh> I really appreciate my RM2 now....

UPDATE: Well, I fixed the wobbly cap after I realized there was a third o-ring at the bottom that prevents the cap from sitting down all the way and fully engaging the second o-ring. I expect Rob added it to raise the cap up a bit to prevent leaking thru the air hole. Even with it drilled out to 1/16th, I don't seem to squonk enough to get any leaking. This is a huge plus to making the device more pocket friendly. Put a micro coil on it and it has a bit more clearance from the cap. Still don't like the twisty post and sharp screws but it works much better. I would say flavor is a bit more muted than the RM2 but that could be minor differences in the coils. Over all not bad at all now.

Here's my impression I shared when I got mine from Rob. I must say I am liking it more and more as I use it. I have a RM2 on the Grand and the IGO on the mini 2.1 along with a Hornet.

"I received an Igo-s from Rob today and wrapped a .7 ohm coil with 28 gauge kanthal 6 wraps on a 1.4 mm screwdriver with cotton.
On mine the juice feed hole lies just above the insulator 90 degrees from the positive post wire feed hole. At first glance I didn't see it. The workmanship is beautiful.
Simple as the RM2 to build out and feeds the deck and drains with no problems. Feed hole is just the right size so a "normal" pressure squonk is more than adequate. Cap is the same height and diameter as the RM2 but tapers inward at the top. One would think this style cap may lend itself to a more even vapor flow into the drip tip, IDK.
I put a 1 x 10mm o ring on the 510 connector to line up the atty coil for the way I vape the Reo. The Igo's deck diameter fits perfectly in the mini 2.1 catch cup. The only problem I have is the top o ring allows the cap a little wobble; but easily remedied with one with a little more girth. It hits like a Mack truck.

Kudos to Rob another fantastic RBA, well priced with superb craftsmanship. "

I did replace the 1 x 10mm o ring in the catch cup with a drip tip o ring on the 510 connection (mucho better) and at Rob's suggestion left both o rings on the body and the cap fits perfectly no wobble (thanks Rob)
No post turning or wobble and can't see burning the insulator is even a consideration with the way Rob set this up.

You know, there's tons and tons of RDAs around from all price ranges. Let's put together both sealed RDAs and bottom fed RDAs. You get pretty expensive RDAs that have airflow control with 3 airhole settings, airflow control for dual coils, 3-6 posts, etc., etc. Yet I find that, if we talk about flavor, the IGO-s is one of the top ones. I'm REALLY happy that Rob picked this RDA to sell modified for the REO. The small chamber really does amplify the flavor a lot. My favorite build on it is dual coils, stacked on each other, and a long thick (<-- dirty joke goes here) cotton wick that wraps itself around the posts covering half of the chamber for an even more concentrated, flavorful vape. It's delicious, out of this world. I do prefer the stacked dual coils because it gives me a warmer, concentrated vape, but you could easily drill an extra airhole on the opposite side and have a regular dual coil setup no problems.

The cap is very easy to remove, the insulator is still in tip top shape for me. Granted I still love my RM2 for crazier builds, its amazing drainage, and ceramic base, but the IGO-S is, for the price and for flavor, a great little beast.
