Looking for some input, I recently purchased the rocket rba, Kaifun 3.1 clone, apologies in advanced if I am incorrect. But my question is that my rocket did not have the exterior fill hole screw installed, I was not aware about this when I built it and filled with top fill method, the rba worked flawlessly without it, but noticed seapage out of the hole when I let it sit, I would like to install the screw, but was wondering does this affect the use of the rba, or should of it been installed already when I received it. Input would be apreciated. Thank you in advance.

It should have had the screw installed from the get-go. You will have seepage without it there...

I believe - not at home, so can't check for certain - that the airflow control screw is the same thread. Assuming you don't mind a maximally airy draw (and maximal on the rocket still isn't that much, so why not?), you should be able to remove the airflow screw and use it for the fill hole.

It almost sounds like you might either a) have to pull the collector plate at the bottom and dry it out with a tissue or something (and while you're at it, notice that the O-ring there is basically useless, either replace it or know that you have to keep an eye out for seepage around the bottom seam) or b) the screw is there but not actually tightened. i've don't think that there is an actual valve like the kayfun 3.1 has, just a hole sealed by the screw being there. could be wrong though, haven't really looked at it too closely, will do so next time i change my wick out.

and another tip for the air flow, if you do use the air flow control screw for the fill hole (I don't even use the air control, even all the way out it is still kinda tight for my tastes) make sure to block the hole that comes off perpendicular from the one that screws in. doesn't change the amount of air flow, only causes it to whistle.
