I think I've figured out the whole "it tastes like chemicals!" "no it doesn't!" thing. After having finally gotten an order myself (5 bottles), I'm now certain it's just a case of something being present (some ingredient) that only some people can taste, not any bad batches or anything. Simple as that. (Comes across as an aftertaste for me.)
On the bright side, it's not too bad, and I'm very curious how steeping will affect that aspect. Maybe, given a few weeks, the flavor will overpower the aftertaste and make it a moot point.
Also, on some flavors, the "chemical" aftertaste just can't win. One of the bottles I bought was Clove, and baby, that one stomped it back into the ground. lol I'll bet that stuff like Menthol, and whatever other really stark, strong flavors there are, might have the same effect.
Anyway, the price is definitely right, and they use cobalt blue glass bottles, which is awesome, and they allow for a wide variety of PG/VG mixes (I'm kinda getting into 50/50 now), and they even did a custom nic level request for me on one bottle (it jumps from 18mg down to 7, and I was looking for 12, so I emailed 'em and got a fast, "not a problem" response), so for the most part I'm liking what I'm seeing.
I'm also wondering if the taste some of us are experiencing is in the PG part of the liquid. I can't remember if they offer 100% VG or not, but if they do, I think that'll make a very good and revealing experiment next time I order something. I'm also wondering if they'd allow for "extra flavor" on some orders. That might do the trick, too.
