Ok , I would like to treat me to a beautiful Roller custom for my upcoming 40th birthday. I would like to ask the experts what is, in your opinion, the ideal configuration I should choose. Obviously I will choose the finish (Matte, Ice matte, polish) myself

(unless you have to give me a good reason why I should choose a particular one:

510 connector: Rodhium plated brass; brass or ss?

buttom: easy twist o plain?

Spring: Rodhium plated; Silver plated; unplated?

I like the ice matte a lot, do you think it couples well with other atoms except maybe for the kayfun (alpha I think)?

Thank you very much for your answers

If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten either a polished or ss matte over the ice matte. Nothing out there matches the finish other than the kayfun Beta or Richman. In the highend mods these days, everyone is into making everything match. Which is why hybrids are so popular and why everything coming out is usually 22mm. Having a device with the same finish of your mod makes it so much appealing to the eyes.

As far as buttons, I'd go for the classic just because the Roller has a very nice simple look to it and the classic goes uniform with it. Rodhium plating would be the best since it will take the longest to deteriorate. Not that much more expensive to boot. If not Rodhium then silver. You might as well pick up some spares while your at it to save for shipping just incase you need it later on.

Either way you choose, I'm sure you'll enjoy your Roller like the many of us do in this forums. Nice way of treating yourself for a 40th birthday present.

Got me a polished and an Ice Matte. The polished looks really nice when new but after a while, I realize the nicks and scratches show up really easily, not to mention there's always fingerprints on it. Seems like I'm forever wiping it down to keep it clean. Same deal with the brass and silver springs and the brass 510 connector. Just realize these look good on the website but be prepared to do a bit more in terms of maintenance.

The Ice Matte finish looks really unique to my eye and it doesn't get scuffed up that easily. It is a bit difficult to find an atty to match though so recently the Satin finish has caught my eye. As for the button, I agree with Jaseruckus. The mod is all elegant simplicity so I prefer the classic button.

Whichever you get, bottom line is its a very nice mod.

I prefer the IM and definitely SS Mate over the Polished. Been off tobacco for nearing one year and figure to purchase one decent PV to end buying mods that should of been flashlights. Currently seriously considering the Roller which I like over The "Poldiac" due to battery size options without changing my pants.

thank you all guys,
I just bought it mixed ice matte and regular matte. It looks terrific
I took Rodhium plated spring and brass pin (the roddhium plated was not available)
I am using it with a Nautilus, with a privé tank, but it looks terrific also with a simple vivi nova
Of course it performs great even with 18350 batteries
I am pretty happy!!!

I had my last cigarette 11 August 2012, nearing one whole year. Figured why not celebrate when not ever expecting to quit smoking. Purchased five mods to date which most had to be modified to work half decent. Anyway, order in for the Roller (IM) +T2 (IM).
Totally Sweet! 4 5/16" in height with an 18650 kicked.
