Would be nice if someone could hold it w/ pliers...or use masking tape or something...or aligator clip third hand from radio shack. Try not to get contacting top portion dirty w/ melted tape. Total solder used is less than a grain of rice.

Awesome, thanks! I'm going to get a soldering iron tonight and I'll let you how how went went.

That's actually what I did. I got the connections set right and I even raised the "bump" for the battery with a bit more solder. It took a while to get good connections, but I eventually did on the wire. It's now working about 99 percent of the time. Still every now and then I don't get anything, so I'm led to believe that it is the actual switch.

I went to Radio Shack and grabbed some new nice switches (the press on them feels perfect) but unfortuatally they are just like 2mm to wide on the threads to fit through the hole in the end cap. I'm pretty happy I got it working pretty decently now and I'll probably stay with it like this till I get back from vacation next week when I plan to order two of the "build your own" box kits from madvapes. All this tinkering finally pushed me off the edge of wanting to mod and now I have a sickness I think, I can't get it off the brain.

Should be firing 100%.
I wouldn't skimp on the switch.
Mad vapes has the identical switch for about $7; it is a good switch.

While your in the mood, get a cheap multimeter and verify switch function, batt health, atty connector to ground and pos, etc.

Very healpfull thread. I have been having some switch issues myself with the maxiV2. Mashing the button 20+times in quick succcesion periodcly seems to do the trick. Before i read that I was stuck at work with the batery upside down, my stack in 2 pieces and pushing them together to get my carto to fire lol.
My big problem with the R. Stack is at 6v. It works great for driping with4.5 ohm attys but I cant get any cartos to fire. At 3.7 the cartos work great...Its frustrating but Im not done messing around. Ill figure this out yet.
I see other post that people have been running D.C cartos with great succsess at 6v. I put one on and nothing.

O right..Its two 3.2 ohm coils in PARALLEL so Rt= 1/R1+1/R2
I=6/1.6
Wow.. thats why I was sticking 3.2 in there. Thanks emus.
I swear I have read people were runing them. But that cant be right. Maybe it was on another PV who knows. Ill stop hijacking this thread and get myself some higher ohm cartos.
Thanks again.

Those C&K switches, although expensive, just aren't very good. You very rarely hear of switch problems with the SilverBullet, yet it's only a 2A switch and that's probably one of the most popular 6V PVs out there with years of use under it's belt.

That said the amp rating of the switch has nothing to do with the DCs not working. Sounds more like a carto to connector issue. What exact cells are you using for 6V?

I consider the C&K switch to be medium quality.
Many switches are inferior.
Do you know where I can find a 2 to 5 amp switch w/ similar form factor that is better?

See now this is what confuses me. I have the 2 16350 batts in it that came with the Rstack. On my Multimeter I get 7.4v through the stack. I made sure the nut that fastenes the switch is not touching anything, even put a 510extender to be sure. I did get a boge standard R. carto to work great on it... Other of the same will fire for about a second and quit.
And Now I was just looking at the Rstack page on Madvapes and there is some guy typing in all caps, basicly having a vapegasim over his 6v 510 dual coil out of this world experiance....I want to be typing in all caps....where is my vapegasim?
