Is it in any way possible that simply testing a battery's voltage with a multimeter could kill the battery? It's seemed to have happened twice to me with the eGo-c. One about an hour ago. It was brand new, I didn't even use it or even screw the atomizer assembly/cone on it...all I did was attempt to get a Voltage reading on it. I tested the button beforehand, made sure it went on and off with 5 clicks, the button lit up and worked fine. Then after the attempted test, no light, nothing...connect to atomizer, fires up on its own...something doesn't add up here...

In addition, I never connected it to a charger either...all I did was test it. This same scenario happened to me with the same model battery from the same vendor last week...this battery was last week's battery's replacement

It's a cheap meter I got from my school bookstore for my Electronics class, but it works pretty well and I've never had a problem with it.

It sounds like the battery works but the switch doesn't. It's possible that you shorted the battery when the leads were close together. Accidentally touched together, then when you pressed the switch, with a dead short, there would be a lot of current going through the switch. Now the contacts in the switch are stuck together. There is not a lot of room in there and it's easy to slip a little. Sound reasonable.

All I can suggest would be thumping it sideways against your hand, from all angles, to see if it will shake loose.

Thanks for your response, that makes sense. I will try this right now!

Didn't seem to work, so maybe the contacts are stuck together without a possible solution, other than taking it apart, which I am NOT about to attempt lol
