Am I doing something wrong, or do the RSS feeds not work? I've been trying to use the RSS feeds (for sub-forums), but I keep getting errors telling me the format is invalid.

classifieds... guess it's been disabled? i thought maybe that's how people were sniping new listings so quickly.
The reason RSS will not work in Classifieds is because guests cannot read that forum. If we allowed RSS to work, we might as well allow guests to view the forum as well, because they'll be able to read it anyway.

another question, how often is the RSS feed updated? i noticed i can click new posts and it'll show a bunch of new posts that aren't on the RSS feed yet.

It depends if you are using a reader or not. Most readers you can configure when it updates.
it seems to be slow to update on the site itself... i've tried in the browser, and a desktop reader. it's the feed itself. i can hit refresh, but it still doesn't show the same new posts that show up when i actually click the 'today's posts' link.

Hmm, that's a strange one. because when I was doing trials it updated fine.
