Been around the block a long time in vaping land but I rarely keep up with trends much as I like my current setup and funds are minimal.

However, I hear all this talk about subtank , lemo2, and something else with weird name zepherous or something ? Are these all RTAs? I don't do the rba thing:( .... Looking for RTA --What is subtank - tank designed to vape well at subohm ohms ? -- that's weird -

Last time I bought a tank it was kayfun clone. Frankly it was ehhhh. Maybe cause I suck at builds maybe cause it was a clone.

I am a diehard bottom feeder with rba user but I would like a nice tank at times as a backup and Since I have one 30 watt and one 50 watt machine that are just sitting collecting dust cause of my attention to my bfs.
I was waiting or all the hoopla to die down cause after every item or tank it's usually this is the best blah a blah lol - then reality sets in about a month into a purchase and one can really tell whats good and whats bad.

Please give some tips /suggestions on RTAs (not a cloud chaser / max wattage have access to is 50 watts (outside a mech)- if have a preference or a stay away warning give a short explanation if you so could

Thx.

Some tanks do better at sub ohm. Some tanks come with an RBA deck. Subtank is one. Some of these tanks come with prebuilt coils, like Atlantis, Subtank as well, Herakles. They make some tanks that are strictly you build yourself.

I like the Herakles more than subtank mini honestly, but the iStick 50w is barely enough to make it enjoyable. I like rebuilding and the Subtank mini deck has a nice simple deck to build on. I want the Goliath although that seems to have a learning curve with building. I want the Silo Beast as well next, the top fill design really appeals to me on the Silo Beast.

Atlantis v1 at least does well with under 30 watts, all prebuilt coils, although these can be rebuilt as well if you want to. I am a Reo fan as well. I also like regulated devices with tanks and RDAs to drip.

The term "subΩ tank" usually refers to the multitude of clearomizers that have hit the market in the past 5-6 months. They all come with at least one stock "subΩ coil". Some of them include rebuildable base or have a rebuildable base you can purchase should you wish to make your own coils.

There are at least 20+ of these different clearomizers available.

I tried a Kanger Nano sub ohm tank. One major design flaw was the metal drip tip. Damn thing got hotter than Hades when I cranked up the wattage, almost burned my lips and my mouth and my throat . An acrylic mouth piece was somewhat better, but I just couldn't take the heat, so I got out of the kitchen and traded it for a Nautilus. I guess I'm what they call a tootie puffer; I like a lower wattage with a cooler vapor.

The 30w goes to .4 and the 50w to .2 so you can vape sub ohms safely. If you prefer mouth to lung hits, it may not be right for you. Took me a while to get used to it. They do give improved vapor and flavor for the trade. Lot's of great options right now at decent prices. I use a Subtank Plus that holds 7ml. Great tank that give you the option to rebuild. It really is easy and much cheaper than buying coils. Good luck with the search.

hi,
What is your budget ?
How big of a tank are you looking for?
What devices do you bottom feed?

Cheers
