I tested it against a handheld meter that I have been using. It is very accurate.

Nice. I had just read the whole "Accurate to +-0.2%" on RTD and was wondering if anyone could verify.
Might have to pick one up when I need some other stuff from them, but I've already gone above and beyond my vape budget for this paycheck.

I have a FT one coming in for $10~, think I might figure out a way to put a 10440 (AA size Li Ion [only 1]) and put in one of those micro USB charging PCB modules...BOOM instant rechargeable

Since that board is based upon the tp4056 Li Ion IC charger, I can replace the RProg resistor with a 5/10k resistor and limit CC/CV from 1A to 130/250mA which would be safer for that smallish battery.

kinda like this but shoehorned into the case to replace the AA non-rechargeable battery's

I have a battery operated one, so don't really need one, but I'm wondering how long it'll run between charges? Have you had time to find that out yet? You don't have to have it plugged in to use it, do you?

I have only had it for a day, so I don't know how long the charge lasts. It does not, though, have to be plugged in to operate, so it does have an on board battery.

I've had one from RTD vapor for about a month now, so I can chime in on this. This resistance meter does not read past tenths of an ohm so if you have a 0.36 ohm coil it will read as 0.4ohms. The website claims they read to the hundredths but that is wrong. Do some research you'll find that there are others who are having the same experience with there rtd rechargeable res meter. They are also at fasttech same exact meter at like $15 cheaper.. wish i would have waited.

Just received this 510 rechargeable ohm meter from RTDVapor:
https://www.rtdvapor.com/online-store/accessories/meters/ohm-meter-tbo-detail
It is relatively small, light, charges with a supplied usb cable, easy to use, and very accurate. They are currently in stock, and are well worth the money.

I got in the new ohm meter from RTD. I haven't used it yet. I have an older, much smaller one, that does read to hundredths. I was shocked at how HUGE the new one is. That's my main complaint. Pictures below.

Oh it rounds down? I was under the impression that it rounds to nearest tenth. Good to know thanks!

It was surprising to me. I verified it with my Radio Shack digital multi-meter and the other atty meter. The RS meter rounded as expected either up or down, but the USB always rounded down.

It's a shame since what's in it is tiny and could fit in the smaller case easily. I've got a $10 AA version coming from Fastech. I might try to fit this rechargeable battery and control in it instead of using AA.

Feisty be interest to know if yours only reads to the 10th?

Banjo does yours read to the tenth or hundredth?

Here's the inside of mine

Certainly looks easy enough to fit in smaller box. DHis waiting to start much delayed noon s Boys/Vikings game so only tested several already coiled. Lowest is 1.49. It rounded up to 1.50 on big meter. 1.50 metered on older metered 1.50 on new. All above 1.5x on old rounded up to x.x0 on new.

The double AA version in that pic I got from ebay and it goes to the 100th. I'm hoping the fastech version also goes to the hundredth.

That rounding up could be bad if you're doing sub .8 ohm. you might think you have a .5 ohm coil pulling 8.4 amps but you could really have a .41 coil pulling 10.2 amps.

When I can grab some time I'll wrap a few where the hundredths are below 0.05 to see if they are rounded down instead of up. The ones I metered, lowest hundreth was above 0.05 if I'm remembering correctly. I did several, on both meters in a little over a minute. Impatient DH. So, when I finally settle in, waiting, impatient DH gets up to do a couple of things..... MEN!!!!!!!

I've had mine from Hyperion for about a month now...looks just like the new big 'un from RTD except it is gray. I don't do sub-ohm, nor do I go anywhere so the size and rounding to the tenth hasn't bothered me. All my vape stuff is in a decorative box on my desk, it fits in there fine and I love not having to plug it in. Charged it for about an hour when first got it and haven't needed another charge yet.
