Rubbing alcohol?

Hey all!
I have a smok 1.5 Ohm dripping atty that has been in service a while. I soaked it overnight in rubbing alcohol and rinsed it out the next day and blew all water out and let it air dry.

Is it okay to use you think? I know grain alcohol should be used but I haven't got around to getting any yet.

Anyone else use rubbing alcohol to clean your atty's?

Ive done it. No biggy. Just rinse with water after.

It will be fine rinse it off dry it with some tissue and have at it. I have used rubbing alcohol when I didn't have any grain made

And make sure you remove any o-rings before giving them a dip in rubbing alcohol. They will rapidly deteriorate if you do not.

Yes it is. As long as you either let it dry completely or rinse it thoroughly afterwards. Since you did both, you're fine!

PGA is safer, no need to wait for it to evaporate.

You may also try denture/retainer cleaning tablets. Get an unflavored kind and follow the directions on the packet. Works great!

I have been using an ultrasonic cleaner on my new atomizers to rid all the machining oils and any metal shavings. 4 drops of Dawn dish soap does the trick. For re-cleans I just wash in alcohol. A buddy of mine uses sani clean its a no rinse cleaner that he puts in an ultrasonic cleaner.
