So I dry burned my iclear 30 to death today, so I went to replace the coil with a new one I got at my local vape shop. I filled my tank with my favorite e-liquid and even put a little drop on the top coil for good measure and waited a couple minutes then gave it a vape. For the first 5 or so puffs it tasted great, then I was getting a burnt taste similar to my 2 week old head. I let it sit for a while since I thought it must not have been wicking properly but same thing until I threw it away. Before I tossed it I pulled the silica back a lil and noticed it had a huge burnt spot where it sits inside the coil. Now I know I wasnt running it too hot (2.2 resistance, 3.7 volts, 7 watts) could it be the replacement iclear heads at the vape shop I went to were bad quality? Luckily I bought 2 of them when I went this week so now I have a fresh one sitting in the tank with some new e-juice, going to give it 30 or so minutes until I even think about firing it up. Hopefully it'll get me through until my protank replacement pyrex gets here :/

I install new or cleaned head in the 3 iclears I have in my rotation, and have never needed to wait to Vape them, just tilt and twirl before every Vape.

U could try cutting away a small notch in the grommet either on the already cut out side or the other. But it may flood.

I also use 100% VG with no wicking issues.

Well after letting it sit in the liquid for a while the first puff was okay, then the second one was heavily burnt (3.5 watts 7 volts) on a 2.2 ohm coil.

I cut the grommet slightly and it hasnt given me a burnt hit yet. It has good vapor production but the flavor is really muted in comparison with the original iclear head. idk why these heads suck so bad but hopefully the one I ordered from myvaporstore works better..
