I have. I assume that smoking drys out your sinus and the body tries to compensate. After quitting, it probably takes a while for the body to recalculate. Same thing with taking cold medicine.

I read a while ago that coughing is not normal unless you are ill for non smokers. I notice that now too.

Lots of other body changes over time from detoxing.

How long do you think this process takes?

Many of us have these symptoms, so you are not alone. It can be an allergic reaction to PG, VG or a particular flavoring. I would suggest experimenting with mixing your PG to VG ratio to see if it helps one way or the other.

I buy my juice from my local B&M, so I don't know what the PG & VG ratio is. I'm not at that step of mixing juices yet.

You mean holding my ecig upside down? Hard to do with a bottom coil.

Really, I discovered this with a dripper I over filled and was vaping with the pvd up and down so I wouldn't spill liquid, it caused what you described. My guess vapor was going into sinuses and causing irriation. So try vaping more level.

Your B&M should be able to tell you the base of your eliquid. If they can't, I would be wondering about how much they really know. Many places sell the same flavor eliquid in both 100% PG and 100% VG. You could get a bottle of both and mix them 70/30, 50/50, etc to see if it makes a difference.

Sometimes it's hard to know PG/VG ratio. Even from reputable sources. Both Halo and Suicide Bunny don't divulge that information considering it trade secrets. I really like to know, but not giving up Sucker Punch juice from not knowing.

Except for those of us with PG allergies/sensitivity, it is VITAL to know what the ratio is. Unfortunately, I am among that population that suffers, and must only use max/100%VG. 10%PG is probably the most I can do without the blisters in my nose/sinuses and the constant sneezing.

To the OP, ruling out PG sensitivity is the easiest to do. If you can, try some 100%/max VG liquid. If symptoms improve--congrats, you found the culprit (and boo, you're sensitive to PG). If symptoms remain, you've got a cold, flu, smoking cessation symptoms, etc. Good luck to you.

This is why I do business with Heathers Heavenly Vapes... you can order what percentage VG/PG you want...

As a test, you can get 100% VG at some drug stores labeled as Glycerin or Glycerine. I got a 6 oz bottle by Humco for ~$12. DIYFlavorshack sells a 15ml bottle for $2.50. I emailed Humco and verified that it is food grade vegetable glycerin. Most are Kosher.

You can mix it with distilled water (I used reverse osmosis water but remember you are inhaling whatever you use) to thin it down. Go easy or it will leak. Try vaping this for a while. It won't have taste or nicotine but makes huge clouds. If you no longer have problems you can mix in some of your juice until you find what is causing it.
