Alright tried to do a little bit of searching and couldnt quite find what I was looking for. Just received this clone from fasttech sku 1552300. As far as I can tell the center post is just one piece, and seems to be incredibly hard to actually get a connection. Seems like the post goes in too far but you have to tighten it down so that the positive pin base? wont move. Like yesterday installed a prebuilt coil while it was on my mvp2. Actually showed the correct ohms and I thought holy crap actually got it right. Took the russian off and set it down. When I went and put it back on went back to showing 9.9 ohms.

It has a short, most likely. I'm not a fan of pre-built coils...but thats what you're working with. Yes, the pin has to be tight or the block will move. When tightening the positive pin, you need to make sure the block is straight or it will turn a little bit, making contact with the rest of the deck. That positive block needs to be perfectly aligned and not touching anything else. If it's even a little bit crooked, it will come in contact with the negative post and cause a short. You also want to make sure your connection screws are tight...they can loosen up sometimes after the first couple firings. The coil can't touch the sides of the chamber....the leads need to be clipped off flush. If the clipped lead sticks out enough to touch the chamber, that will cause a short.

Yea nothing is touching the sides and the blocks straight. Its just whenever you screw in the center post to tighten everything it just seems to go in to far and wont make contact with the battery. I know most say theres two screws for the center pin and ive seen pictures of those and mine looks nothing like those.

I would start by pulling up on the MVP's center pin as stated above BUT on my MVP 2.0 when there isn't a connection being made the screen reads NON not 9.9. If there is a short the screen will read 0.0
Ya.. I notice that when there is no tank on it, it'll read 'non'.. If I have a tank on and its not making a connection, it'll read '9.9'... Dunno why, unless its reading through some leaked juice in the 510 connection..??

When you get to it, try it. The contact pin has to be just peeking out below the threads to make contact. I'm only guessing here ( never had an MVP) but that 9.9 code you are getting may mean "no contact". If you do un-screw it and the block becomes loose, un- screw it all the way (can't hurt at this point!) and double check to see that the center pin is indeed one piece. My suspicion is that the contact screw is over tightened into the center pin. The only thing I didn't notice in your OP is where you purchased it from Fastech so in reality, it could likely be a clone of a clone. Report back with your findings! Good luck to you.
