Hey ECF, I was about to pull the trigger on the ehpro kfl+ clone at vape royalty for $50 bucks but I am thinking that maybe I should drop the extra $40 and get the R91% with better airflow control. If I do go with the R91% it will ruin my $100 mech mod budget but I would rather do it right the first time than purchase a subpar rba. So in your opinion is the R91% worth $40 more than the ehpro kfl+? Is there a noticeable difference in performance between the two rba's?

The R91% is a premium piece, equal and in some ways (IMO) better than the genuine KFL+ (I have them all)... and well worth the money. Down side is finding one for a good price, if at all. I've seen them as low as $80... but they sell out within minutes.

Saying that, the EhPro is (again IMO) probably the highest quality clone on the market... and again, well worth the money.

I have an R91 and a Tobeco KFL+ And use both daily. I did modify the Tobeco by drilling the air hole to match the R91. As I don't own a EHpro I can't speak on it's merits. But, of the 2 that I do own I'll say, they are both great fantastic vapes. The Tobeco actually cost me a few dollars more than the R91, since I bought it off Ebay when they first came out. The R91 I got through a co-op and was much less than retail. I've heard tales of poor quality Tobeco products. But, my experience after 4 months of use is that the one I got is well worth the money I paid. Moreover, with the price of the Tobeco KFL+ now at about $30.00 I believe it to be the best value device of this type available. But, I would probably not buy one from Fastech, I would prefer having a vendor that I could deal with in case I were to have an issue. If I were in the market for another KFL+ type RBA I would probably get the Tobeco. Yes, I like it that much. I felt I should add a pic, so you would know that I'm not talking out my proverbial a**.

Everyone has this theory that the r91 is a clone itself. I thought this as well so I did some research.

From what I read (can't say for a 100% guarantee), the Kayfun was invented by 2 people. They had a falling out, and one kept producing the Kayfun, while the other started producing the R91. They're almost identical, and they're both premium RBAs.

So here's what I think. A clone (at least a good one) is a 1:1 copy, made from the same materials. Stainless steel is stainless steel no matter what country it's in. So I suggest buying the clone, and saving some money. If you find it hard to build, or just don't like it, you're not out as much money. If you find that you love it, you can buy the genuine RBA with confidence.

I just bought a Kayfun clone for $37. If I like it, I guarantee I'll be getting a R91 or a genuine Kayfun Lite.
