if after doing what roosterado described , you still get leaks , turn it over , grab a papertowel and wrap around the airhole to prevent juice from getting spilled on your face :p and blow through the drip tip a couple of times, this will remove all the e juice from the air canal and then puff one or two times while firing to create a vacuum again ;) problem solved ;) it gets a couple of tries to get used to filling from the top but i just prefer the bottom screw filler port ! lot easier !

My 2 cents... If you fill it from the top your getting juice on that top chimney piece and when you put it back together, that oring in the topcap isn't sealing and leaking will occur. I take some isoprop on a Qtip and give that top cap a wipe along with the oring in side the top cap. Any juice on those 2 pieces and your atty will not seal unless your overfilling it in which is causing the leaking due to no vacuum being created (you have to have a air pocket inside to create a vacuum).
I tried to top fill my kayfun just to have it leak like crazy so now I bottom fill and watch and follow that airbubble, once it disappears I stop filling and have had no problems using that technique to fill my kayfun.

I follow the P Bushardo method and never fill from the bottom. I check my rings once a month for proper seating.

But the manufacturer never intended their device to be top filled, that's why they have a bottom fill port. Have you tried using it? Did it leak when or if you bottom filled?
