As people said in the topic about tobacco companies putting out their own e-cigs and juice, I'll shy away from their products because who knows what they'll put in the juice

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. Look at all the crap they put in analogs to get people hooked in the first place.

But it is nice to see that they're finally getting on board with this (I think) it may help to have the big tobbacco companies, who have the politicians in their pockets on our side.

More importantly, big tobacco will be able to join hands with the FDA and submit to regulations that are IMPOSSIBLE for the smaller companies to follow....sooner or later, all our favorite online vendors will be out of business :(

With the amount of money they have, what's to stop them from monopolizing the market and making the production of ecigs and ejuice outside their companies illegal?

My guess is that they're avoiding the nicotine controversy, and going herbal supplement to avoid the FDA poking their noses in. Lobelia is, I think, a fairly well accepted herbal supplement- even if it can't be advertised for smoking cessation. The wording of the story very carefully avoided anything related to e-cigs, smoking, or health claims. Perhaps they'll introduce nicotine liquids at some point after they get a foothold. Perhaps not.

Seems to me that this is a move against import seizures and possible future bans. Give the hardware a legal use and they can't be blocked from import. I don't really think Lobelia vaporizers will take the market by storm, and I doubt they think so either.

If the day ever comes where these are the only legal source of hardware in the U.S., you know they will be bending us all over on the price...

Also, equating Prime Time International with "Big Tobacco" is a bit of a stretch.

I agree with this observation - unless Prime Time International is just reckless, which I doubt, they must feel fairly confident that despite the FDA's efforts, the e-cig technology is going to survive, at least on some level.

That is practically the only thing that regulations actually do. Regulations are written by the lobiests half the time. It's all about access to power, he who has it wins, he who doesn't takes on on the chin!!

Maybe we should all band together and hire a lobbiest!
