Is the mod 2 amp charging?
I don't think so but not positive as I never charge my batteries in a mod.

no mention of charge rate in the manual and the product page says this:

Charging
It is better to take out the cells and charge them through external charger.
You can also charge the device by connecting it with a computer or a wall adapter via USB cable.

I would strongly recommend charging your batteries in an external charger, as much as I love me the rx2/3 there's been many reports of the mod not reacting well to charging via usb.

A friend who owns a vape shop also said the only time he gets returns is when its been charged using us so when there sold he tells customers that the batteries have to be charged using an external charger.
The same guy ranks it as his favourite mod.

Has anyone else had difficulty with contacting wismec? The .US support was right away and they sent me to service@wismec.com. That was four days ago and no reply. They say to contact a local distributor which I assumed was wismec.us, vapor shark said they couldn't give me an easier way to contact them. After going through the troubleshooting I'm going to guess from YouTube that it's the soldering.

I had that problem also - the "check battery" message.
Took it back to the shop where I bought it and a week later it was fixed; he said he had to solder something; apparently it is a common problem.

Before that I had another problem of the spring loaded contact at the top not coming out far enough - fixed by pushing it in and letting the spring push it back out.

After getting those problems I gave up on it and bought a 200s. Figured the choice of 2 or 3 batteries not worth the extra number of things that can go wrong, plus once I am strictly using 3 batteries I can keep the batteries matched; plus the 200s back cover just snaps on magnetically instead of having to fiddle on the 2/3.

I finally got a reply last night. They're trying to tell me the rma process should be handled through the vendor. @$&# It's like dealing a gov agency. I'll probably end up trying to fix it if I'm strung along until the warranty runs out.
It's a shame too, was liking the way it worked and the safety features. I think though after I see how it's handled it will be my last wismec device besides the cricket I found for 5.
