hi guys...
I have just bought the rx 200 and was just looking for advice on what batteries and battery charger to get...
thanks
For the base RX200, max 200watts, any of the name brand 20amp CDR batteries will work, yet as Topwater Elvis posted, the LG HG2, Samsun 30Q, and AW IMR 3000mah batteries work spectacularly well with the RX200, giving great run time and the CDR it needs to run, though I highly suggest also looking at the LG HD2 (HD2C) and Sony VTC4 being both these batteries can be pushed to 25amps CDR with little issue, though you sacrifice Mah, HD2 (2000mah) VTC4 (2100mah). If it is an RX200S, or an RX200 with the 250watt upgrade, then you are narrowed down to 4 batteries that are very low mah, LG HB2/HB4/HB6 (1500mah) and Sony VTC3 (1600mah) which are all true 30amp CDR batteries (note- no other battery on the market out performs these 4 model batteries for CDR, any that say an 18650 cell is 35amps or higher are putting the danger pulse discharge rate as its rating), only 4 battery manufacturers to consider as they make all the battery cells currently on the market, those manufacturers are LG, Sony, Samsung (high end), and Panasonic/Sanyo (low end), everyone else buys from these guys.
Battery chargers - Being a 3battery series mod you'll need a 4 bay charger
Nitecore - Models i4 or the newer D4 (digital screen instead of just blinking leds over the i4) same charger just different user interfaces
Efest - Efest offers 2 excellent chargers in the 4 bay category the LUC V4 and the LUC Blu4 (this one has bluetooth over the standard V4)
Xtar - XP4, VP4, VC4 this brand is the the Cadillac of chargers with the best warranties on the market, can't really go wrong with any of their chargers.
