RY4 - Could it be?

A very polarizing flavor around here, and one that I hear varies a lot among various makers. I bought some of the DK version a couple months ago, didn't like it and set it aside. As much as anything, though, I wondered what that odd element was in the flavor. This morning I ran across the 5ml bottle in a drawer and for some reason pocketed it with my bottle of what I've been vaping lately. So you can guess the next part--without looking, I dripped some and had one of those what-the-hay moments before I figured out what I'd done. I still dislike it, and really had to work over the atty to purge the flavor. But... I figured out what its taste reminds me of:

Heh--no! I should've said it tastes like church incense smells. In my younger acolyte days I swang a pretty mean thurible.

Hmm. I guess it is up to the manufacturer. I'm currently digging on Vapor Country's previous batch of RY4 (before Rob switched to his new stuff a few weeks ago).

RY4/Riskee/Friskee is indeed a love it or hate it flavor. I still crack open a bottle of it every now & then, can't say that I've ever tasted church incense though

The older batches are awesome. For some reason, the newer DK batches have a perfume taste. Sucks.

Same thing happened to me with Freedom Smokes...Had some RY4 in March,,,was pretty good...So re-ordered a few weeks ago and it is different for some reason...Not bad, but just not the same taste...A little disappointed, but using it anyhow....Figured, I paid for it, so I might as well use it....Also wondering if my "taste buds" (nose) is changing also, so I am tasting these flavors differently...Enjoy the Adventure...

The better RY4's that I have vaped seem to be a tobacco base with a touch of vanilla and an even lighter touch of caramel.

My first batch of Ry4 had a very smooth flavor to it, and everyone whom tried it said it tasted like cotton candy ^_^ i'm hesitant to order it again, however, hearing the stories of the change in flavor...

I smoked cloves exclusively and people always said they were reminded of church incense.......Maybe that is what is in your RY4

Naa, definitely not cloves....at least not the stuff I've tried

No, I think the RY4 I had contained some sort of note of Pine.
