I am going to all three nights of the Phish run here in Denver at ....'s and I wasn't sure if they would let me take my eGo in or not. I called ahead to make sure I could take my PV in to the concert tonight and they shut me down. The man I talked to on the phone said absolutely not and I would be turned away at the entrance if I tried to bring it in. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach so I wanted to make sure it was alright. I guess I'm glad I called ahead, but this is ridiculous.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get past this? Some of my co-workers are thinking of clever ways I can sneak a PV in, but I don't want to get kicked out or have it confiscated either. Help me!

This is their contact info if anyone is interested;

Hi Bananny!
That's a crock. Just think of whatever other stuff WILL be brought in there.
Never having been to that venue I can't help you out, sorry. I don't know what kind of security measures are taken, but I wonder if they would even know what they were looking at when you got there? When I went to the Rockies games this year I purposely left my ProVari at home because it's...I suppose threatening-looking, but did walk right in with some 808 batts (they didn't check my pockets) with the knowledge that they could get confiscated. Perhaps if you have something cheap/sacrificial/unidentifiable that you could just try to waltz right in with?

If you bring slim ecigs - I ordered an 11,000mah New Trent portable USB power supply at Amazon (I think it is IMP1000). Takes 7 hours to charge it and then it will recharge USB stuff. I was only charging slim batteries during the hurricane power outage (16+ hours) so I added a 3-port USB hub to it and only charged 2 things at once (since its one USB port probably puts out the standard 500mA only). I charged my ecigs on it during the hurricane power outage. You could say it's for recharging your phone.

So what is this? A concert? A fishing event? Is smoking allowed?

I have a Magma kit at home, but I'm leaving straight from work as I work right by the venue. I will try to bring my Magma in tomorrow and see if it works. I might just have to suffer tonight and will do my best to not bum analogs off of my friend that is going with me... lol. I also don't want to risk getting kicked out or having one of my eGo's confiscated. I can't really afford to replace it right now.

Nice to see another Colorado vaper! Excellent!

Am going to assume that whomever answered your call wasn't necessarily anti-vaping but rather had no clue what you were talking about (or what they were saying) when they said 'no'.

They don't claim/proclaim to be a smoke-free stadium (Their Website) and I'd be more than surprised if there weren't tons of smokers (legal and otherwise) attending the shows.

I'm not sure vaping at a place where you've already been told not to is a good idea.
It may curtail future vaping prospects.
I'm all for education the ignorant, but there is probably a better way to go about it.
I hope it works out for you at the concert.

See, that's what I'm thinking... I let my temper get the best of me and I said a few things I shouldn't have before I hung up on the guy. By now he could have notified all of security to watch for an angry woman with electronic inhalers. I screwed it up... I'll deal with it. I'm thinking about putting together a well worded email with links to a few vendors so they can see what they look like and that they're for nicotine and not illegal drugs and seeing if that gets me anywhere.

I'm sure they're allowing cigs in there which is a load of BS that I can't take my eGo in. I'm sure the guy had no clue what I was talking about and I must have done a bad job explaining it... ugh.

Indeed. We met at the CO vapemeet and I just happened to see your "name" crop up on this forum. Coincidentally, I just received my shipping notice for my first trial order of OVC Juice.

You'd think CO would be a little more progressive as far as e-cigs go.

Ah! So we've met? I don't recognize your screen name! The vape meet was way fun :) I'm glad I went!

Yes, I would think CO would be more progressive. I think plain ol' ignorance is winning in this case.

I didn't read the rules very closely, but, did not see where they said you can't bring in a PV...
It says you cant smoke cigarettes, pipes near the playing field.

I don't know... why ask? I mean, are you expecting them to say "hell yes".. vape where ever you'd like. We totally understand it's not actual smoke.

They are going to say no, to be safe.

if the guy you talked to answers phones..... well, he answers phones. what was his name and title?

Having done lots of security and having been on the band side of things...I'm pretty positive they just blew you off as another hothead. (Not saying you are.) I'm sure they have bigger phish to fry than a concert goer trying to sneak in a PV.

That said, I think I would have no issue at all bringing my eGo in and using it in the smoking area. If they try to take it, just go put it back in your car.
