I've been looking and getting a HV device; while I was hoping to trade a load of 901 stuff and two SDs for a second hand HV, there are no takers, so I'll splash out!

The Saber looks like a decent bit of kit, could any users post their experiences of them at 5v or 6v+? Since they aren't adjustable, I'd like to make an informed purchase.

I dislike 6v because everything tastes burnt to me. I find that I enjoy 5v the most. I have 2 of the 5v Sabers and am pleased so far with the performance.

You also have to be careful with 6v because if you don't keep the a tty wet all the time it will burn out quickly

Hi, Elendil; thanks for your input. I was/am quite dubious about 6+v mods, and suspect that only high-resistance attys would be ok. That sort of defies the point of going to a higher voltage.
