All types of batteries have different amp limits.

For subohm coils, I personally suggest..

AW IMR 18650 1600mah(NOT the 2000mah version). This is a 24amp limit battery, basically can handle down to around .2ohms.

MNKE IMR 1500mah. This is a 25amp battery with a very high burst rate limit. Very popular choice.

Sony VTC3 and VTC4. 1600mah and 2000mah versions, these are the new popular choice batteries for subohm. 30amp limit.

And the ones Im currently using:

Efest 18650 1600mah flat tops. 30amp limit. They seem to be working very nicely so far.

Always check the ohms of your coil.

always use an Ohms Law calculator to find the amp draw of your coil.

Please understand that if you are careless and do not do this properly, you can severly injure yourself, possibly even kill yourself. There is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. Do it safe, Do it Right, or dont do it at all.

not gangbanging it's a Fan Club symbol for the artist Madchild and it's what the battle axe warriors put up to show respect for the Rapper MADCHILD from Canada.. lol. And no i was just asking about the .1 - .5 ohm battery needs because i wanted to be safe and use them even on higher ohm coils ;P.

please attack the post.. not the poster <3

We are all just interested in people not getting hurt by bad battery choices which can bring a bad light on the vaping community. The problem with doing 0.1 ohms is that at a full charge of 4.2 volts your battery will have to be able to deliver 42 amps of current. I don't know of any battery that will do that. Even at the nominal voltage of 3.7 that's 37 amps. Try to keep it a little below what the battery can handle. You can get great clouds and good tasting vape at a reasonable wattage. I've seen some batteries that will do around 20 amps and I can't imagine you would need anything more than that and I don't think you'd gain anything by going any higher. Good luck and good vaping.

I knew there was a reason that I felt the need for a new quote in my sig. How fitting.

I think i got all the information i can from the people here.. lol.. /closethread

but yes I did come here because I thought this would be a very easy question to answer. I do see it turned into an intelligence war, which really saddens me because this is honestly a great place for people to learn it SEEMS.

You dont seem interested in learning. You seem to want people to feed you the answers without having to do any of the reading/research on your own.

i know how to work an RBA.. ,, i understand there are limits. And yes, you are right. But I'm just asking for amazon links, and not links to TL;DR posts. Just of some good batteries to use for sub ohm. THANK YOU! .

Baditude even gave you a hint that there was a LIST of batteries that are good for sub-ohm vaping in one of the links, but you couldn't be bothered to actually read the link and asked to be spoon feed with Amazon links.

... the one thing i must have overlooked was the list of batteries linked.. which caused a spiral. *nothing to see here*

I'm mainling going to stay at .5.. which still may even be too low,, i'm at .8 now and am thinking of going back to 1 or 1.2 ohms..

*edit* i was just wondering about .1-.5 for saftey reason, also the reason i started the thread. ;P.. if i didn't care i'd just slap any battery in my k100 and go low ohms but i am atleast smart enough to know better.. >.>

    What's your setup?
I'm running single 1.3 micro coils /w cotton in my Zen's and getting really nice smoky clouds. Not sub ohm cloud chasing [censored] but enough to satisfy me and I do like nice smoky clouds.
I can see the draw of sub ohm but I really don't want to do a bunch of math, I just wanna vape. Therefore I'm pretty happy in the 1.3-1.6 range.

I ordered a Telecoping K100 MOD Set and I was wondering if the batteries that come with the standard set are good to SUB OHM i also have PINK batteries that come with the evic set.. 18650 flat top and some of these Amazon.com: Two Panasonic NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries QTY 2: Electronics are they good for sub ohm??? cause my mech is coming today and i don't want to lose my hand trying to blow clouds

    The new Sony "US18650VTC4" batteries.

Just ordered four of them from Jetbatteries.com. 4 for $39.95 and I saw them on gotsmok.com for under $8 a piece but the link didn't work for some reason.

sorry for all the drama this post caused everyone by the way!! <33 you all

You didn't cause any drama. You at the very least brought up the possibility of battery failure and we are all about safety. You can do sub ohm safely but many people try it with batteries that aren't capable. I like the fact that you are up for suggestions! You'll do well!

jclay - listen - I'm gonna hook you up. I get it - you don't want to read a book.

    Just read this post.

Here's everything you need to buy to sub ohm in safety. With links!

But PLEASE promise me you won't do it till you have ALL these items. K?

OK so - 1) Buy an ohms meter or a multimeter - preferably both. If you just want one, buy the multimeter. Then search YouTube to find a tutorial how to use it on vaping equipment. Or here - easy as pie - linky : Multi-Meter How to for Electronic Cigarette users - YouTube

Hey - lucky for you, multi meters are available on Amazon!
Klein Tools MM200 Auto Ranging Multimeter - Amazon.com

And here's a cheap ohms meter! Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter 510 or 901 808 Connectors Vape | eBay

OK 2) Bookmark this calculator: Ohm's Law Calculator
This is your new best friend. Learn it love it live it.
Enter 4.2 in the voltage field. That's the voltage on a freshly charged battery. Then measure the ohms on your coil with your new multi meter or ohms meter, and enter that reading in the resistance field. Then check it. See how many amps(Current field) it's going to push? THAT's the number that has to match the battery capacity.

    3) Buy these batteries and only these batteries:
AW IMR 18650 1600mah24A (15C) NOT AVAILABLE ON AMAZON
    or
Sony SE US18650VTC3 1600mAh 30A (18.75C) AVAILABLE ON AMAZON! ZOMG ITS YOUR LUCKY DAY! Amazon.com: (2 Pieces) 30A Sony 18650 Battery 1600mAh 3.7V High Drain US18650VTC3: Cell Phones & Accessories
    or
    Samsung INR18650-20R 2000mah 20A (10C)

That's IT. NO other batteries are safe. (MNKEs notwithstanding because they are discontinued.)

PERIOD. No offense to anyone else in this thread, but let's keep this kid with his face and hand intact.

DO NOT BUY ANY OTHER BATTERIES. Every time someone sub ohms with batteries that can't handle the amps they are pushing, a kitten gets its face blown off.

Note: Buy a minimum of two batteries - preferably three or four. You have to keep them charged and change them out after an hour or so of vaping. You can't let them run too low.

    Watch it twice.

    5) PM me if you have questions. I'm serious. DON'T get hurt, get educated.

    Vape on - be strong.

Those gray batteries included with K100 kits have been researched and no info is available. They are mystery batteries: unknown manufacturer, unknown real capacity, unknown chemistry, unknown maximum discharge rate. If you can't research specs on a battery you don't use it for sub ohm. Preferably you don't use it for anything vape related at all.
