I just got done watching a video from Twisted420 who is supposed to be a reputable vape personality.

The video was a review of the 200w Snow Wolf mod box with temperature control. In the video, Twisted420 was vaping it at ~574 F degrees not to mention when he maxed the temp out at ~662 F. Basically boasting about it being the most powerful temp control mod on the market.

From my understanding, Glycerol (VG) decomposes into acrolein at ~535 F (~280 C). Acrolein is an aldehyde that is a decomposition product of glycerol. Acrolien is one of the main connections between cigarettes and lung cancer.

Anybody buying this for high wattage temp control should be aware of this. For even your biggest cloud producing kanthal builds don't heat as high as twisted420 was vaping. So far the people I see using this device in my vape groups are vaping at these very high temps.

Since when is he "reputable"? He's popular and funny... But I've never heard anyone say he's where you go for answers.
To some people he is reputable. I know people in some of my groups who bought this mod based on his review. I'm not saying it's a bad mod, only that he is using it wrong and people are following based on his video.

Thanks for interesting observation. Something I do not understand and never thought about before.
Boiling point of VG: 554°F (290°C)
But: When glycerol (also called glycerin) is heated to 280 °C, it decomposes into acrolein
Acrolein - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is something I do not get: VG is decomposing befor it can be boiled? We need a chemist for explanation.

Good news is in normal vaping conditions we do not heat VG to boiling temperature because juice will boil somewhere in between boiling points VG and PG (or water, it it was thinned with water). Boiling temperature of PG is 370.8°F (188.2°C)

Some temps will not be reached as the voltage required to get to that temp will not be reached. I watched this video, and he did it show that the mod did not burn wick or juice at that temp.

Take it as you will.
Just because the juice didn't burn, doesn't mean it didn't release toxins. I just think somebody reviewing a product should understand the safety of something before cranking it up, vaping it and then telling you it's the most powerful temp device on the market. Especially when that person has a following.

You certainly wouldn't see a pbusardo video conducted like this. I've been in my various vape groups, correcting people's temperatures since this video because they are all cranking up the temp and vaping at 70w.

I've watched a few test videos as well and the device is hitting the temps being claimed.

Why use temperature control if the goal is to bypass it?
Maybe I'm just stupid.

It is me that's stupid, right?
Can't be everyone else.

Because people don't understand temperature and assume that high temp means big clouds. Temperature Control is great technology but now that various Chinese companies are jumping on board, they are turning it into a specs game to make their product look the best. Even at a proper temperature though. 70w on a temp device is pointless unless they can figure out how to make it work with Kanthal.
