I experimented with saline today... I made my own boiling one half teaspoon of sea salt into 1 cup of distilled water (according to an online instructable that should be roughly the equivalent of the .9 solution). I just saved enough to fill a 10ml bottle and dumped the rest.

Added 3 drops to a 60ml of Tobacco e-liquid that I made. Been vaping it for the last couple hours, and I can definitely tell a little difference. It's not as harsh to take straight to lung hits and it has just a bit more, for lack of a better description, wetness to it. My main motivation was helping my oft dry sinuses and I do believe it will help. My only complaint is that it did add a tint of salty taste to the liquid... Nothing overwhelming or even that easily discernible, but I still might further dilute it a bit with some 70/30 mix (especially because I think 1 drop to 10ml would be too much). Maybe it tastes extra salty because I used sea salt?

Sorry, I was TUI (typing under influence).
pH exists only for solutions with water. So, no pH for PG/VG mixtures. However in wet mouth things can change.

I do ph tests on my soil.
I will have to round up an IV bag of saline. Only Japanese saline though and properly steeped.

Don't forget to use a platinum nozzle when pouring it into your mix. Anything else and the effect will be reduced to zero.

I have done that. Sadly it didnt work.
Any other idea to make the flavor pop?
I sometimes use Juicy Lemon flavor and have also used English toffee. The only thing I accidently stumbled upon was that by adding a smidgen more of English toffee to my mix brought out the blueberry flavor. Other than that, depending on the amount of flavoring you have in could effect it. I have had tried a flavor at 5% cause I wanted it strong. It didn't work. So, I went to 14% still dull. I then dropped it to 3%. BINGO!!!!! Popped out like no tomorrow. Everyone pallets are different. Taste is subjective. The joys of DIY. ;) Cater to yourself and taste. We can only nudge you in the vicinity of the area

Thanks. I will try give a go with lemon juice and citric acid. I found in other thread says that little citric acid will make a huge diff with the flavor to stand out.

Lemon Juice = cheap citric acid. If your fruit is not strong, try reducing the amount first. I like to make a large batch (say 60ml) of base, that is just vg/pg/nic. Then I will make small 5mm batches of tests to see if I am getting in the rang. It is very easy to find the sweet spot for a flavor that way. 1% of flavoring is .05 ml.

I've experimented with saline and found that it does nothing but gunk my coils. To isolate the issue, I mixed an unflavored batch at 90% VG and 10% distilled water, which is a mix that I vape 90% of the time, but I added the saline solution at 3%. My coils clogged much faster than my usual unflavored mix.

Regarding the pH thing, I still haven't been able to properly test my juice. How does one go about testing the acidity of their juice?

Maybe our resident chemist Kurt will chime in on the pH question.
