I recently started trying VV box mods. The first one I purchased here on ECF classifieds. I do not want to mention the vendor but it is a low priced mod at $34.99 the first one I had for about a month and a half. And the connector spun loose from the epoxy. Broke the wire. So I stepped up and bought another one this time I bought a new one directly from the vendor. I bought it on 9/10/11 and tonight on 9/27/11 I was un-screwing the cartomizer and the connector came out with it. The mod has a 30 day warranty (I think) so hopefully they will replace it. But it seems like it is a major design flaw or on going problem with them. I am wondering if anyone else has ever bought one of these box mods and had the same or similar problem I am having? I love the TH and vapor production I get from the mod, but $35 for 17 days of use seems to be a little excessive. I would love to hear from anyone else that owns or have owned one of these mods.

I don't have the VV but I do have a 5v version of the same mod. I haven't had any problems whatsoever with it, but, it was assembled by a person who I believe makes them with great care and efficiency.

I would, if you haven't already, definitely contact the vendor and ask for a replacement. If that one fails, then perhaps it might be time to invest in something a little sturdier? I dunno, it's on you. If you've a soldering iron, you could obtain the kit and make it yourself, thus making sure that it is built solid.

I had that same VV boxmod, and I returned it because it got sooo hot. I highly recommend Krimson Kustom boxmods. I have a VV evercool, and it's the real deal. He has some really awesome ideas, and is always coming up with custom stuff. Here's the thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/206210-krimson-kustoms-3-7v-5-variable-voltage-evercool-quality-look-great-price.html

I did a review here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-mods/219997-krimson-kustom-evercool-vv-boxmod-review-oh-yeah.html#post4034556
