Since you're coming from itaste vv and anticipating an evic, I do have both, just the order I got 'em are reversed, lol

I started with smokerhaven kit, which is basically rebranded ego-t(i think) with 5 x ce4 non-rebuildables with the sole purpose of quiting analogs for good.
And so,begins my quest to achieve good satisfying vape to make sure i'll never look back at analogs. After some researching, to start off, decided I'll need a good power supply/battery with replaceable battery, usb charging if needed and all those adjustable stuffs. The evic fits the bill nicely.
After getting it, chuck my ce4 on it and dial 3.8v,coz I measured my smokerhaven ego-t to be 3.68v regulated, sit back and expecting a supa improved taste, vapor and th. What i got is,,,,,,,burnt taste. Have to bring it back down to 3.4 to avoid that burning taste.
After some experimenting, found out that the ego-t unloaded voltage is 3.68v but when loaded it drops 0.1/0.2v while the evic not only holds the set voltage but also heats up the coil faster.

As good as the evic is, I find it not so convenient to bring outside due to the size and fighting for my pocket space, so on with my hunt for a small portable vv device for outdoor use.

Got the itaste vv for it's similar size to ego, compatible threading and convenient charging(same as my nokia, which I have plenty around the house)

Compared to the evic, I have to set the voltage 0.1/0.2v higher to get similar taste and saturation on the same clearo before the onset of burnt taste.

Once you get your evic, maybe can give your opinions? :)
