I just bought a regulated mod battery. It's a sigelei 100 watt. I bought two INR 18650-25R batteries. The guy gave me a charger that only charges one battery at a time. It's made by totally wicked and it works great. I went out of my way to buy a dual charging kit. It's a trust fire multifunctional charger. It lists 18650. Is this safe to use? If so, It has a feature on the side indicating 3.0 V or 3.6 V. Which voltage should I use with charging these batteries?

Welcome to ECF!

I have one of those Trustfire TR-001 chargers that I bought early on. I since read on the web that they are not very good and can overcharge batteries because they don't stop charging when they should.

I now own a Nitecore I4 (4 bay) that many people use. It's not the best on the market but much better than the Trustfire.

Welcome to the forums!!! I have a trustfire charger but it lists 3.0 v or 4.2v along with those Samsung 25 r's. I charge mine on 4.2v as per instructions. As far as those batteries, they are really great and I use them in my Sigelei 100 watt as well. So far, mark them #1 and #2 every time you charge them put in opposite side. If you open cover and are looking at batteries, example #1 on left and #2 on right, when you charge them and put them back in, put #2 on left and #1 on right, repeat every time they are changed because I was told one side discharges the battery more than other side and if you swap side, it will work them down together instead of working one battery harder than the other...make sense? Also as far as coil builds on them, do not use them with a coil less than .3 ohms as then you are starting to push the limits on the batteries.

How do you charge them? I like the totally wicked charger I have but 1) it only charges one battery at a time and 2) it doesn't come with a USB adapter. I know the adapter plays a role in charging batteries. I had an ecig that only lasted a couple of months before it became a paper weight due to me using a wall adapter that overcharged the battery.

When I bought mine, the guy behind the desk had a lable maker and made a sticker with 1 on one and 2 on the other. Quick solution is sharpie with a piece of clear tape over it so it doesn't rub off like mentioned above hand. I cant say to charging as this is my first month with using regulated mod or even mech mod. I am not sure of the wall adapter because mine has a direct outlet plug on it. As for my MVP 2.0 uses a wall adapter and I believe it should charge at 500 mA if I am not mistaken.

Also, if you have other mods and such that use those type of batteries, I would only use that pair strictly for that device. I usually vape at 20 watts and it lasts about 2 days on a charge using .6 ohm coil. I have yet to let them go down past 40% charge before I charge them because I would hate for them to die on me while I am out for the day with no charger access.

I really like the nitecore I4 charger, and the I2 is just as good. I used to use the TR001, and the charge time was WAY longer. The I4 charges my drained 18650's in like 3 hours, 18490's charge up in an hour, maybe more. When I used the TR001 with my Provari 2.5, I was going through 2-3 18490's a day (high volt setting and loooong draws on a genesis atty). I had to buy extra batteries to use while the other ones were charging.

Is this the right charger?

Do you leave your batteries charging overnight?

It sounds like a good charger! It says in the description it stops charging the battery once it's full. So I assume leaving it on the charger overnight is okay?

What are the 3 different settings exactly for? (Trickle charge) (constant charge current) (constant charge voltage)?

That's the one. Good price too. Generally it's good practice to not leave batteries on overnight, but I do it all the time. Over in candle power forums, someone did a really fancy electrical analysis of the way thing works and it was generally accepted to be a good charger for the price. Takes alot to impress those candle power forum guys.

Not unless you want to charge batteries in your car =). Your wall socket is AC. he's saying the 25r's are as close to a vtc5 as you can get without having a vtc5. I own 5 vtc5s myself and they're dang good batteries. I hear they're going back in production too

Oh okay. Not a problem. I also see on Amazon a "new version" of this charger

Which one would you recommend?
