I just got my first Sapphires, and while I'm liking them, is there a mod to make the draw a little easier so I can love them? I've searched a few times, but all I can find is the change the wick mod. I've tried with cone, without cone, backing it out of the connection a bit, etc. It's always just a REAL tight draw. I end up pulling so hard that I flood the coil... any help?

one fix i have done for the stiff draw is take a tiny drill bit or a small diamnond bit in a dremel and enlarge the air hole on the side of the 510 thread.
i wonder if i still have that pic...

Sweet....I was wondering if that would work....I'll have to try later. Hey Bad, any tips for slow wicking on the Vornado? The taste was pretty weak with Menthol Mania, so I decided to try BlueMist's Smooth (100% VG, but fairly thin) The cooler vapor from the Sapphire's worked well with it, so I figured it would be about the same with the Vornado, but I'm getting some burnt hits every few minutes. have to let it sit for about 5 before going again, then after a couple, back to burnt... :( I just ordered a Stone....cannot wait!

I just received a bunch of these and I cannot seem to get that plasticy taste they all seem to have out![/QUOTE

Yep, I'm disappointed withe the Sapphires, too. Same nasty plastic taste as the SmokeyMizers, just not quite as pronounced. I think these are going in the trash.

I didn't get any plastic taste in mine. I had something completely different happen. I had my completely clear juice turn dark and taste burnt as hell. I took a few hits then set it down for a while. I picked it back up and the tank was dark. The juice was nasty, the hit was bad, and that was from the first fill. I had two do this on me. That friggin sucks. My other ones have been pretty good other than having a stiff draw. It ain't gonna work for chain vaping that's for sure. It seems like it takes a while for the coil or whatever to get wet again. Take two or three hits and have to let it be for a while. I do like the higher ohms sapphires at higher volts better too. The taste is much much better in my opinion.
