Brad didn't mean that the ACS was going away, he was encouraging people to say "good bye" to the ACS and not donate any more money.
My problem with these groups is they run on up to 85% operating costs.

Snort!!! How about if the ACS stops committing scientific fraud by falsely blaming smoking for diseases that are really caused by infection! That is the progenitor lie upon which all the rest depend - particularly including the phony dangers of secondhand smoke, which are the rationalization for vaping bans. Instead of attacking the progenitor lie, vaping defenders merely try to persuade people that vapor isn't like combusted smoke, with generally poor results.
Fear-mongering about formaldehyde has been their biggest weapon against vaping. But if you take a look at the corrupt process by which they got formaldehyde declared a human carcinogen, it is a truly classic example of that very same fraud of ignoring the role of infection, particularly Epstein-Barr virus.

Not only have I stopped donating to all the body parts and diseases groups, I go out of my way to actively discourage everyone who'll hear me from donating or participating in any fund-raising efforts for these Pharma front groups. This includes discouraging people from wearing the marketing ribbons...
