Saying 'Hi"

TL;DR : I'm new, socially awkward and wanted to say hi, and thank you.

I guess I need to meet a minimum post requirement to prove I am not a robot or a spammer(?) before being given full reign to terrorize post in other forums on this site, so I figured I would start with an introductory post..
I joined this site today because every time I have a question regarding e-cigarettes or accessories I would find myself back on this site. Of all the sites on the internet it seems the most knowledgeable people congregate here, so I eventually started searching here first and decided to join to show support and perhaps pass on any gleaned knowledge as it is needed. This site has helped me before I even invested in equipment and was still researching the validity of this practice as an alternative to smoking, and has since helped me upgrade my equipment, learn to mix my own liquid, and re-wick stock coils with cotton as well as other things I am sure I have forgotten to mention, (and I have the fine members of this forum to thank for that) =^x^= I started using an e-cigarette about seven months ago, and stopped smoking three weeks after making the switch, and presently use Evod tanks, Vision Spinner V/V batteries and a 4.5mg/ml menthol liquid at a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. I have tried other tanks/liquids and found this set-up to be most to my liking.

Everyone is so friendly D: Thank you =^x^= There is always more to learn, and I look forward to it. In fact, I already learned something new by joining, there was a notification telling me to say hi and get 'stuck in', a term I had never heard before, and a quick search revealed to me it's meaning. Ohh, and my cat was lost a few years back, and my present situation isn't ideal for getting another, there isn't much room and that wouldn't be fair to either the cat or myself.

So sorry to hear that.:( I'd be lost without my cats!

Many thanks to all =^x^= Oh, and thank you Susan-S for the links, I have used a forum with a similar platform in the past, so I kind of had an idea how to get started. The links will help clear up any other questions I might have. And yes, things just aren't quite the same without a kitty, though my mother and brother both have cats, so at least I can visit with some until such time as I can get one for myself, if and when that time comes D:

Thank you! I look forward to further adventures in this forum =^x^= And yes, I noticed that, it's a rare sight to see people on the internet pleasantly exchanging ideas and opinions, even ones that differ greatly without resorting to bickering in at least one thread, but I have yet to see anything more than a civilized disagreement. I'm sure it happens, but it certainly isn't common place. It's refreshing to see so many knowledgeable and still curious people, I'm sure the electronic cigarette industry has grown a lot from this valuable resource O:
