I got a 4oz box of surgical grade sterile rolled cotton from CVS Pharmacy. You should be able to find it with bandage supplies. I don't boil it or anything. This should be enough to last a lifetime.

I cut out wick-like strips, then half those. Easy peasy.

No, the cotton doesn't burn as long as you keep it wet.

Sometimes I still like silica, or even stainless-mesh/silica hybrids. It all just depends on the juice and what kind of texture and flavor nuances I'd like to bring out. Some flavors I'll even do an odd ball multiple coil build that has cotton in one coil and a stainless-mesh/silica hybrid in another higher resistance coil.

I use organic cotton balls from CVS, some use yarn and I have heard that some folks use the cotton off the end of Qtips. It doesn't take much, my $3 bag should last the rest of my life.
As to the burning, if it is dry it will vaporize immediately but as long as you keep it soaked there is no problem.
Another good reviewer is Todd, he seems to like most everything but does some great close up stuff, a lot of times I will watch just to hear his accent. Rip trippers is entertaining and is the guru of off the wall coil builds.

so what do u do just tare it up and twist it to make it a strip? also does it need to be a dense strip or lose and airy?

Yes, I just pull a little piece off, twist it loosely and insert into the coil. You don't want it too dense because it will expand as it soaks up the liquid. When using cotton, less is more. I would guess I can get about 100 wicks from a single cotton ball.

wow ok ummmm.... would it at all be possible for you just to snap a pic of the general size you pull and twist so i may get a general idea?

OK, I've almost had enough coffee now. Here's a pic, thats about 2/3 of an unrolled cotton ball and a jewlers screwdriver for a little scale. Its a micro coil on an RM2, if it were on a top fed dripper I would leave the tails a little longer and tuck them into the base, hope this helps.

Yes. That helps alot.. that one of those little sunglasses screwdrivers huh.. and thats for a micro coil.. so u wrap ur coil around that screwdriver then feed your cotton through the middle of it after

Just got the REO 2 days ago, it is freakin fantastic! All the flavor of dripping without carrying around a bottle, hits hard, pocket friendly and it looks great.
I actually wrap my coil around a #12 leur lock needle, that's the screwdriver I use for tightening the posts. Yes, I just roll the tip into a point and feed it through and then trim off the point.
Shoot away if you have any other questions:)

I use 30, 28 or 24. 32 can be a little tricky with micro coils, it doesn't like to hold it's shape as well as lower gauge wire, it's a little springy. 28 is great to start with.
Just make sure you have enough wraps to keep the ohms in line with the battery you are using.
Annealing, pre heating the wire with a torch, helps take some of the springiness out of it.

Cool thanks man. I did my pt with 32AwG kanthal and 3mm silica vapes pretty good and on my itaste vv v3 it reads 2ohm I need to buy a ohmmeter and some smaller Guage kenthal for when I get my Kayfun.

Again thanx guys gor all your help.
Still scared of mods but lol. I might wait awhile untill I fully understand coil building properly first which should get me knowing ohmlaw better. Maybe After that I'll dabble with some mods
