Anyone else get a bit scared/worried before you try out a new juice?

Some of the stuff I buy just smell weird.

Does Smell=/=Taste?
No. smell does not always equal taste.... and many juices require an aging and aeration period before they become the flavor... they're suppose to be. Some refer to this, incorrectly, as "steeping".

How long do you Steep for? Do I open the bottle and just leave it open in my closet?

I'm always excited to try new flavors! Sometimes it's ends up being disappointing, but on to the next one!
Do you have vape shops where you can sample before you buy in Japan? That takes the surprise factor out of the purchase.

I agree, smell does not always equal taste.

Sadly Japan has dumb laws against Vaping where its Illegal to sell Juice with Nicotine but Legal to buy from overseas.
Vaping is still pretty new here where I'll be vaping on the streets and people will just stare at me wondering what Im smoking.

Some vendors will offer up a time frame, and even a methodology. If none exists - and none of the hundreds of methods you find on the internet seem suitable - then usually 1-2 weeks for light, fruity liquids, 2-6 weeks for darker, more complex liquids.
All is done with the caps off, and a daily bottle 'squeeze & shake'... to expose the liquid to fresh air and remove the evaporative gases from the bottle.

so you vape 0 nicotine e-liquid?
is it hard to get diluted pharmaceutical grade nicotine from a chemical supply company in japan?
and would it be legal to make e-liquid your self?
you would not be "selling" or "buying" e-liquid. just diluted pharmaceutical grade nicotine.
if "selling" it is the illegal part..

just trying to understand...

That makes it tough. This is an interesting thread of flavors different people enjoy...maybe if you can find someone that likes flavors similar to you, you can get some good ideas of something new to try.

Hi I make my own e juice so I'm usually excited to try a new creation. I know exactly how I've made it, I know exactly what goes into it. I know how clean the bottles are I know exactly how much nicotine I've put in. So I can't say i am uncertain.it's so much fun to make and a lot easier than you would think. So if you are having some unsettling feelings toward your juices or manufacturer you might consider making your own. Hope this helps. Best wishes

my experience is that smell totally doesn't equal taste. i bought some strawberry shortcake a couple a months ago that smelled way to sweet for my liking, but it tasted like that aftertaste you get when you throw up in your mouth a little. then one time i tried a tobacco flavor that was so pungent that i could smell it just sitting in the tank a few feet away. and it had this really nutty taste that just didn't groove with me. i ended up pouring it down the drain because i have the nose of a bloodhound and just smelling it sitting there made me nauseous.

those were two different but very popular brands but just not for me. i've found that i prefer juices with little smell and hints of taste. luckily i found a brand early on where most of their juices have that characteristic though i still like to try others from time to time cuz i'd like to find a second brand i can go to.

Im currently vaping 12mg Juices from this vendor called Vapor4Life, Bought 7 in total and tried 3 so far which I like somewhat.
The vaping community in Japan is pretty small and the ones who do DIY are probably smaller.
I've only seen maybe 2 people vaping in the past 4 months.

The thing with Juices is that some companies dont ship to Japan for some reason so basically I have to order from sites that allow international shipping,
Recently looked at the top rated sites users on the ECF forums use and 2nd place was Heathers Heavenly Vapes. They happened to ship to Japan so ordered about 5 Juices.
Really want to try The Vapor Chef but they only ship within the US atm.
Also found this reddit page where you trade Juices but not sure how trustworthy it is.

Edit: To answer your question :), They do sell pharmaceutical PG but Im way to stupid to even try it lol
