You can use a soft cloth and a metal polish. Ceramabright and Bar keepers Friend are popular. But, depending on the scratches, you might do something a bit differently. I'm really partial to double, triple, or quadruple ott steel wool (depending on how fine I really need it). Double ott (#00) is good enough for the occasional scuffs I might get in the brush on a gun barrel. Triple ott or quadruple ott (#000 or #0000) are what I tend to use for cleaning some of the precision SS parts in some of the equipment I use. --- If you decide to go with the steel wool, you will need a nice leather glove. those tiny steel fibres can get imbedded in your fingers and palm quickly and are difficult to remove.
