So, I've tried out how long 1 battery would last for me - I popped one in last night (a fully charged one), and it lasted pretty much entire duration of the day, and went out when I came home. However, vapor production was weakened, just like any other e-cigs, towards the end of the charge. Rotating 2 will be pretty sufficient, but I just decided to buy extra charger and extra batteries.. maybe just a couple more.

So sorting through the deal extreme site... here's one I found from someone else's recommendation regarding it.
DealExtreme: $6.92 SpiderFire LC-16340 3.6V 880mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (4-Pack)

and another I found...
DealExtreme: $3.19 Ultrafire LC 16340 3.6V 1000mAh Protected CR123A Battery

third one..
DealExtreme: $3.28 LIR 3.6V CR123A Batteries (2-Pack)

and finally fourth one.
DealExtreme: $4.90 TrustFire Protected 3.6V 880mAh 16340/CR123A Batteries (2-Pack)

See, some of them have 880mah, others have 1000mah, and even 800mah, with different prefix #s...

The one that came from Trog was LIR123A 3.6v, 1000mah. Actually, I couldn't find any that's really the same from his.

Anyhow, I'm just wondering does differences in performance - when it comes to mah. Just duration, I assume? 1st one seems to be the best deal out of whole - but at the moment, 4 extra batts are just an overkill. I'll be fine with 1 or 2 more extra batteries, for certain. Price differeces in few dollars really doesn't matter to me either. Any recommendations from above 4..

And as per the charger... I really like the one it came with. Slow charging, but small and portable at the same time.

DealExtreme: $5.39 Nano Li-Ion Single 3.6V CR123A Charger

Does this look like a compatible with any of above ones?

Sorry, it's a pretty dumb question, I know - but I'm just not too farmiliar with the whole Battery things. (Well, I know AA, and AAA.. LOL) Also, the size - the length I guess - seems to be a little bit different from what I have right now.

Any input/advice, on this issue I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
lachesis

Lachesis, the first ones you list, the SpiderFire batts, are the ones that Trog recommends that people buy, and right, the third ones you list are the ones he ships.

But the second and fourth ones you list are protected, and thus slightly bigger than the others. Trog specifically recommends against them, as they may put too much pressure on the spring due to their size.

Yes, the mAh rating (milliamp hours) is just the capacity (approx. time before recharge) rating. But Trog warns that this may be overstated, especially on the 1000 mAh ones, and that they have probably less capacity, so that's why he has no problem recommending the others, and feels they are as long lasting even though they carry a different apparent mAh.

I prefer the nano charger as well, even though I did buy one of the black 2 battery chargers. The 2 battery chargers may take less time to charge, but don't charge as fully, at least in my experience.

Edit: Here's Trog's recommended parts list:

all these batteries for a given size are roughly the same capacity.. the chinese tell fibs about the capacity.. people buy "high" numbers.. honesty dosnt sell chinese batteries..

the spiderfires are good to go and come in nice packs of four.. we are also getting a few reports of dud batteries.. these are the 1000 mah ones we mostly ship..

recently perhaps because we are shipping more these dud battery reports are coming in.. they show fully charged but simply dont deliver the current..

we ship fully charged batteries.. they should all work as you get them.. if one dosnt its likely to be one of the duds..

we are changing battery suppliers and will start running some more in depth tests on these batteries.. some are definitely dud.. one in ten perhaps..

not much of a problem if a customer has some spares in advance but a nuisance if not..

these batteries work very well and have a long life time when they are not duds.. some are thow.. when buying in cheap chinese batteries and chargers always allow for the odd dud.. they are very cheap so always have few extra bits in..

standard SD advice is to buy in the cheap chinese bits.. always have some spares.. and get them before you need them.. they are very cheap and its silly not to..

we also try and get overseas customers to get spares in at the same time as they order their SD.. they will be needed at some time so it makes sense to allow for this and be prepared..

I bought the black 2-battery charger also, with the same results: fast, but not fully charged. The slower Nano does a better job.

From reading around the forums, especially in the modder areas, it seems the general consensus advises against using non-protected batteries yet a highly respected manufacturer supplies and recommends them? What's up with this?

Does anyone know if the the letters and numbers(lir123,cr123,lc16340,ect),have any meaning.I understand volts and mah,but what"s the difference between lir123 and lc16340? Is it just different companies using different designations? Thanks 4 any help if anyone knows:)

So long as you are charging these batteries in a charger specifically designed for them, the charger has a circuit that stops charging the battery when it reaches 4.2 volts, so the protective circuit against over charging is not needed on the battery itself. The protection against over discharge is not really needed with an ecig either, because your vapor will stop being satisfactory before that point anyway. So since the charger shipped with the batteries has the protection circuit, there's no problem.
