Can't go wrong with a screwdriver in my estimation and I own most models on the market. It's my trusted reliable - the one I reach for. It's everything I want in an e-cig, portable, dependable, durable, modable, long battery life, tons of vape, and It contains no microchips that break and render an atomizer unusable by administering cleaning rituals which do nothing but stink up your attie, no dodgy vaccuum switch and no cut off. Janty sell the KISS but this is the KIRFS...Keep It Really F**king Simple (he he). It comes in a no frills brown envelope.

The battery is removeable so if one wears down, you just buy another. They retail cheap. I have 6, these cost me about $10 total while if I was to buy 6 batteries for most any other model e-cig it would have cost me anywhere from $60 - $100 and they all break in the end. You'll still be buying atties but you would be doing that any other model. get em cheap in bulk direct from China. I have two adapters now that let me use the screwdriver with both penstyle atties or the what are called 'disposable types'..(Trog's right - they're all actually disposable really)..I'm all set.

yes - they cost a bit of money up front but don't forget you have a dedicated e-cig aficionado crafting and testing each one so you're paying for his time and skills..that's got to be worth something..It's not in his interest to let a bad one slip out and he's not trying to skimp on quality to shave a few pennies off the cost.

They'll pay for themselves with the money you save in the end. You won't need to pine for other models and if you do have a problem, you send it back to the inventor and originator. It gets sorted - no hassle.

The Screwdriver is the Doc Martin of e-cigs.

In short I'd call the screwdriver the Doc Martin of e-cigs.

Where did you pick up a pen-style adapter? That's pretty much the reason I don't own a screwdriver. I hate 901 atomizers/carts.

yeah, I prefer the pens myself too. I got both my adapters from a very generous forum member who saw me oogling his. He made it from a dead 901 attie and a dead pen batt. there are instructions on this and Trog's forum on how to make your own though these are lost on be as I discovered soldering is not my bag so much.

That said, I think Trog is now either selling screwdrivers designed for penstyles or he is selling the adapter that will take them.

I just ordered one. I've been using Janty Dura but seems he can't get me my order in under 2 weeks. If I am to rely on this, I need parts when I order them, not go back to cigarettes. Hopefully I will have better luck with the screwdriver supplies

I just received my SD yesterday, and while I suspected I'd be pleased, I was frankly surprised at just how pleased I am.

I had in my mind that it was bigger, and I was a bit worried about taking it out in public. I mean, I might look odd sucking on a pen, but just imagine the looks I'd get sucking on a screwdriver. Well, it's shorter than my penstyle, and while it's substantially thicker at the base, it's not at all awkward. In fact, when I vape it, the handle portion is largely hidden by the palm of my hand, and I attracted no more stares last night with my SD than I typically do with my penstyle.

At first, I found the button placement incredibly awkward and I was longing for a small button on the side like with my Janty Dura-C. However, I quickly became used to the placement of the button, and I've decided that its placement is actually right where it should be. Easy to press with the side of my pinky but not placed so that it's likely to get accidentally activated.

Aside from the long battery life (and cheap batteries), the best thing about it is the vapor is STRONG. I've never had my DSE901 atomizer give such performance. The combination of the powerful battery and the manual switch is stellar.

The only downsides in my mind are (1) heavy juice usage, and (2) no doubt shorter atomizer life. The juice usage really isn't much of a negative . . . it just means I top off often, but it's easy enough to do with the 901 cartridge. The atomizer life is likewise not much of an issue for me. I figured out early on that if I treated atomizers as more or less disposable, I'd be much happier in the long run. :) Trog himself says the atomizers are basically disposable--estimate about 2 weeks' life. I can live with that.

I've been thinking about the SD for awhile but just couldn't seem to justify in my mind the high price tag. But I'm now at the point where I need to buy more batteries for my 901s and penstyles, and so when I added it up, I decided that the SD wasn't really as expensive as I had originally thought.

I've heard people comment that one could make a similar mod for substantially less, and that may well be true. But the SD just plain looks nice and is comfortable to hold. Add that to the fact that my engineering and technical skills are nonexistent, well, futzing around on my own to recreate the wheel just doesn't appeal to me even a little bit.

I've had mine for 5 weeks now and to me its perfect it just works, i've been using the same atomizer since it came,i know its hit and miss with atomizers so i have 20 now and that should last me the year, the only problem i had with it was i placed it on an ironing board and it rolled off and snapped the button off,it still worked but i needed to get it fixed and i had already sold my other ecigs,so i emailed Trog and ordered a new one, he got it to me the next day then i sent the other one back for repair, but now i keep the lanyard on the 2 of them as it stops them from rolling off tables and the like, best ecig investment i ever made :D

I've only had mine a couple of days. But it is smok'in like a bomb. My search is over. I'm so tired of the inferrior battery life of the others, not to mention the costs involved. Listen folks, save your money and your time. Go to Trogg's site and read up. No bull there. Just the facts. I am one happy customer. In fact, I am so happy I just turned around and ordered another the same day.

The screwdriver will pay for it's self in no amount of time.
