I would not have used the vendor name here because many places will be usiing regs as an excuse not to honor warranties, etc. now.

By limiting the topic to "one" vendor, it keeps the discussion about this PROBLEM from moving forward, I am just thinking people won't open the topic since they don't shop at the vendor you put the topic heading under.

At any rate, yes, there were excuses in the past (I had a Lot of fun with vendors who gave me a song and dance, since I already knew that manufacturers like joyetech give their distributors a very healthy warranty, which is SUPPOSED to be passed on to the customer.

Sad to say, some very, shall we say, vendors with supposedly good reputations, have tried to pull that on me, i..e not doing a replacement for defective joyetech item after 6-7 days, stuff like that.

The other "ruse" they use, lets say for a missing part, is "we'll include it in your next order"...........you know, for stuff you already PAID for.

That is when I started buying my hardware on Ebay, from vendors with high feedback scores. Feedback keeps them honest. I already had one defective piece and the ebay vendor was absolutely FABULOUS about making a quick exchange.

At any rate, as a consumer, can't protect yourself or the industry unless you, as the consumer, demand that they operate on a non-fraudulent level.

So yeah, I kick up some dust when I'm jerked around.....and I do it in a way that makes it not worth their while to stiff me (things like charge backs, etc. stay on their records permanently, etc. ). So are calls to state consumer protection agencies, states attorney generals, etc.

That situation vapers had with Mrs. whatever Bakery should NEVER have gone on as long as it did.......many many vapers were ripped off because other vapers before them who were ripped off didn't ACT and REPORT.

Do other consumers a favor and follow up on vendors who rip you off. Fraud is fraud, and is a crime. . It is not that diffferent from watching somebody rob a small general store and not report it

^^^^ that said, I agree with the poster on reddit who said
"Harassing a business based on an anonymous comment on an internet forum is a BAD IDEA!"

and I agree. The OP here should REMOVE the name of the business unless they themselves have had direct dealings with said vendor.

This would be a great topic to leave up though, for "generalized" complaints about getting ripped off and how they do it.

For any "specific" dealings with a named vendor, ECF already has a LONG STANDING topic area named NEGATIVE REVIEWS, which is the appropriate place to air specific dealings...........and one where the vendor can defend themselves if they desire.

Removed Reddit link and edited title.

Vendor bashing has never been permitted on ECF. You can discuss general practices that you've found elsewhere, but unless you have direct dealings with the company involved (at which point, the complaint needs to go to the Negative Reviews Forum), posting about the experiences of others is hearsay.
