Hi All,

I'm new to posting here but have been reading ECF for a while now. I haven't purchased any kind of vaping gear yet...tried a friends ego T and loved it.

I'm considering buying an SD Keyring as well as an ego C kit and I'm wondering what my options are for the SD keyring when the cartomisers need replacing. There are so many things to choose from and in so many different strengths (powers?, volts?, lol, sorry, don't know the correct term). There is so much to learn.

How long can I expect a cartomiser to last? Should I replace it with another cartomiser? If so, what kind?

Thanks.

Cartos are disposable. They usually last up to a couple weeks, depending on the juice your using. High VG and darker juices clog them quicker.

The SD uses a 510 connection, so you can use any carto with a 510 connector. Don't use a low resistance on the little battery of a SD. Keep above 2.5ohms. Lower resistance (ohms) will kill it.

The eGo also has a 510 connector, but it has special atomizers and other stuff that won't necessarily work on the SD.

A good reliable cartomizer is Boge. You can get 15 for $20 at CrystalClearVaping.com

I'd sugges a kGo instead of an eGo C. It's easier to use the more standardized parts. No special atomizers or cartridges or any of that crap. It looks almost identical and the battery might have a bit more capacity. You can find it for $42 at Sweet-Vapes.com Get the option that comes with cartomizers, not an atomizer.

With cartomizers and atomizers, the "ohms" is the resistance. The lower the number, the hotter the coil gets and the warmer the vapor. 1.5 to 2.0ohms is "Low Resistance". 2.5 to 3.0 is Standard Resistance. For little batteries, stick to 3.0ohms. Bigger batteries, like the kGo, can use any of them.

OOPS. I didn't notice you're in Canada. Prices may be different, but it's still worth looking for the kGo. Nobody that has one regrets it and it's not as finicky as an eGo C.

Hi Vintage Mitzi :)

I recently bought an SD Keyring - mainly to stealth vape while in hospital. It's a brilliant little e-cig. You can use any SR (Standard Resistance) cartomiser on it - ie around 3ohm. Avoid dual coils though.

The cartomsiers that come with the SD kit can be refilled several times, the same way as any other cartomiser. They can last any where between a couple of days & a couple of weeks before wimping out.

Lol, I'm so slow at typing at the moment - broke, my right wrist a few weeks ago.
