Search Problem

When I search, I get "sorry - no matches found". I have received this message trying "stardust" and "kanger", so I know the words are there. What am I doing wrong?

Don't know what you're doing wrong, it's working for me. As an alternative you can go to google and paste in:
site:e-cigarette-forum.com stardust
Replace "stardust" with whatever search terms you want to use. I think this gives better results anyway.

Are you using Ghostery or a program like it that blocks tracking stuff?

I had that problem and finally figured out that I had to allow "Google AJAX Search API" to be able to search here.

Kanger also returns results, I just didn't feel like making another screenshot.

yup! if you're running any kind of adblocker that's the culprit

EDIT: I was going to post steps, but I must have been thinking of Noscript when I typed that But Adblock Plus doesn't inhibit my searching as it is. You can also click the little ABP icon to bring up the menu and there will be an option to "disable on e-cigarette-forum.com", which should be fine since there are no ads when you're logged in

Do you type that in every time or do you have a shortcut?

I haven't had any problems lately, but when I did, I used refresh [f5] to update the search.

no shortcuts but typing is far less of a problem than setting the right parameters to get relevant search results

I guess I'll have to write it down because I'll never remember it. It does work better than the ECF search.

Terry, I was able to add it to my bookmarks. I went to google search and typed in "site: e-cigarette-forum.com" and then saved that link to my bookmarks. That way I can go to that page and type in then add what I want to search after "site: e-cigarette-forum.com" and it works.

Thanks sash. That's what I did but didn't test it to see if it worked. That would be nicer than having to type it in everytime.
