I have been searching for a thread that has all of the terminology a newb would need. With pictures would really help as well. I'm just looking for a watered down explanation of all the parts and what they do. I was also searching for the differences between tanks clearos/cartos and such but it seems that everything I find goes into great detail and I just don't grasp the concept of everything. Since this is the new member forum I figured this would be the best place to put this. I'm not looking to bother anyone or make them feel like they have to write something up I'm just looking to see if anyone has links to some threads that maybe able to answer my questions thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum DonCon. Glad to have you here!:)

Here's a little trick to help you. See the little dotted line under this> th or ECF ? If you hover your mouse cursor over the letters, a little box tells you what it is.

Here are some links as well. There is much duplication between these as some of these terms go back to the beginning, when I started vaping 8 years ago.

Vaping Terminology

1. A – Z E-Cig Glossary
2. e-Cigarette Jargon and Terms – eCig 101
3. Vaping Glossary - what does it all mean?
4. ECF Abbreviations 101

#4 is very handy when trying to decipher ECF members slang.

----------------

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping and/or looking to upgrade.

1. A Good Starter's Setup for a Beginning Vapor
2. Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods
3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Recommendations

We can do this too. As soon as you are more comfortable start a new thread and we can give you some options to consider if you are looking to purchase your first e-cig or are looking to upgrade.

Thank you very much Susan~S that is exactly what I'm looking for. Currently I have a vision spinner 2 with a aspire nautilus mini. I've only had it a couple weeks but I'll be looking to upgrade after the holiday which why I want to be more educated before my next purchase thanks again

You've got a great setup. I especially love the Nautilus with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) for a stock coil tank. I run mine on an eLeaf iStick. Research it as well as the MVP v2. A new MVP (v3) is just starting to come out so if you find you like what you are seeing regarding the MVP v2, consider a MVP v3.

However, there are many ways you can go regarding upgrading. New APV's are coming out all the time.
