I started this about two and half months ago. Same process as you describe soot on the previous post. I have several times really wanted to smoke analogs again just cause I like it, all of it except the thought of not breathing horrifies me to death. I had a friend who smoked his whole life and at about 58 he developed a lung problem that only allowed him to walk for ten minutes then need to rest for thirty minutes before he could continue for another ten minutes.
OUCH, what a burden!! After his great life what a tragedy to witness such a demeaning downfall to a once vibrant soul. Brings me right back to vaping, organizing, filling carts, etc., etc. vaping is ok, great substitute for standard analogs. I gotta breath for a long time so I am sticking with it.
Kind Regards

Aspen, I love to smoke as much as anyone. ...LOVE IT!

I watched someone I love as much as my own Mother have half of one lung removed due to lung cancer. She lasted for 5 years then died of COPD. ...Horrible death of a wonderful person. I swore as I watched her die that I would not let cigarettes do the same thing to me. ...I haven't had a cigarette this year. (YAY)

I've gotten through my cravings by keeping a bottle of stronger nic liquid around. Stronger than I vape all day. When I get "one of those" cravings, I use it. It really helps me get through. It might help you too.

Hi Aspen and all - I love to smoke too. I also love to vape and the vaping is winning.

Both my brother and I had been fans of R.J.Reynolds since teen years. His Luckies gave him lung cancer, my Camels gave me bladder cancer. It's NOT going to kill me (Viking blood dies hard!) and I only vape now. If I want an analog I just drip a few drops of 36mg and suck it dry. (Normally I vape medium).

We are all addicts but this great new thing can help us pull through. We can do it!

I can relate with still having the desire for an analog. It's been about 26 days since none at all after drastically cutting down. I guess the reason I talk up the screwdriver and similar mods so much is because that is what pushed me over the top of quitting altogether. The inconsistency of the smaller batteries, etc (soot's points in the other post) kept me from making the final leap. When I am stressed, I still want an analog but I also plug in some 36 and get that big hit, which helps. Then back to 24 and 18. Now if the FDA and everyone else would just leave us alone.

Well Thanks for all the advise. I have been smoke free for about 60 days or so. Stopped smoking within a week when I first started and was impressed mightly for I had smoked fortyfive years. I only use 36mg so no super hits for me when I get a craving I just heat up about four atomizers at a sitting until I am numb from the hit and put it down. But I find my desire for the real deal has elevated in the past week. I was not expecting a more intense desire then when first started. Seems like any amount of stress and I am thinking this just isn't cutting it, give me a smoke and it will be alright. Mind you I have worked through this and have come to realize this not a battle but a long lasting war with me. Anyone else out there have reaction like this where cravings are elevated beyond your expectations or experience in the past?
Best Regards to All

I've been vaping since 3/20 and haven't had an analog since the am of 3/21 and YES I still occasionally get a desire for a "real" cig that's more intense than I expected. Like you I've been smoking for decades so I really don't expect those desires to completely go away for a long time, or maybe never. I have managed to lower my regular use mg from 24 to 18, so now I use some of the stronger stuff whenever I get one of those cravings like wv2win. It helps, some anyway. Vaping enough to give myself a nicotine headache DOES WORK, probably not the best solution though.

I have heard several people using this technique. I will likely employee it, its seems to be working for a lot of people. I think something else that will help is I can vape inside my house (I can't smoke inside). I'm an artist of several medium including screenwriting and I've found that during screenwriting in paticular I have to get up and smoke a lot. The result is that I get about a page or two done before I have to take a break.

The vapeing will mean I don't have to leave my desk to get my nicotine fix, but it also means I can distract myself with both creating and vapeing, so if I do get a craving for an analog the combination will probably mean I won't even be thinking about smoking.
