There is some paitence required when you first fill these. Pulling off the mouthpiece cap went fine but the same paper clip wouldn't go in to one of the holes on the middle cap, I had to find a finer one. I then used a jewelers scredriver to pop that sealed fill tube.

Then the FUN began. I used the syringe they included with the carto's (FSUSA). It does not have gradations in ml but in units for medication. Is this a 1 ml syringe? Anyway how much do these Joye cartos hold? There was no paper with it. I will rewatch the video referenced in the OP.

Ok back to the FUN - I inserted the hypo in the fill tube and started plunging it, I thought slowly and BAM...the thing popped off and juice went everywhere. After I cleaned it and myself off I doubled checked to make sure I went all the way through with my screwdriver. I then reinserted trying to go as slow as possible and once again the tip flew right off.

I then tried again but this time I went MICRO slow and was finally able to fill it...but I don't really know if I FILLED it as I had tips flying off with partial drops of fluid that probably made it in there in the first two tries. On the third try to be safe, I only filled the syringe about half way.

I then vaped and just a LOVELY experience. I heard a lil crackling (I actually love to hear some crackling, it lets me know things are working and its sort of like the sizzle of tobacco when you are smoking an analogue). Plently of vapor and this French Toast is nice and smooth with a more than adequate TH for me. You can taste a bit of the syrup lathered over the french toast but its not overpowering. A big thumbs up to this juice.

The air/vapor entering your mouth when you vape is a bit on the cool side to me, I like it to be a bit more warm but maybe if I pull out the middle baffle it will warm things up. Is that middle baffle really necessary? AND BTW--that was a PITA also to put back in :)

NOTE: the fill in this seems to be completely sealed off...I iamgine there is no playign around with the fill...once your vape goes out the window on these it seems you have to toss them unless you want to pull the tube completely off the base...

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Did you ever figure out how much it held?

Yes - I found it it is supposed to hold 1 ml, but of course to be safe I would probably never go over .9. The eGo Mega catomizer holds 2.0 ml.

I have been messing with the E2 R4's and they, to me, have a bit warmer vape but there are issues with that carto you can read up on throughout the forum. When the E2's work they work fine but I notice you need to keep them somewhat angled up to vape because of wicking problems. With these you don't have to do that as the atomizer is at the bottom...'wicking' goes to the bottom and doesn't have to travel up as it does on the E2's...again though, the E2's provide me with a bit of a warmer vape. At this point though, if these are hassle free and work out of the box with no rinsing off, no gunking up of the coils and work for as many refills consistently as I have seen in the OP video and in lighgeoduck's videos, without having to do dryburns, etc, these very may well be the cartos I settle on.

I imagine with higher voltage vaping these might provide a warmer vape...I am wondering out loud what is the ohm rating on these.

Ok. I have to try these. I have not liked the CE2s because of the filling issue. If these truly can be filled with no needle I would like them.

I might try the through-battery-hole method but honestly...once you have done it one time with a syringe and you have that filler hole popped (and thats as simply as pressing in with a jewelers screwdriver or some such without much effort) I don't see this being a hassle at all...To me its just a matter of findign the juices I want to vape with the most and havign a little filling party and be done with it...

To me if you are using a viscous VG the drop in the battery hole might be messy. HIgh viscous fluid will cling to that hole...actually seems more of a hassle to me unless you are using a mainly PG fluid...

If only they came with a native 901/808 thread. That's my atty of choice and most of my mods and batteries are setup for it. Yes I can use an adapter but I've always found that I seem to loose a bit when I use one. For example changing from the DSE905 with adapter to an eGo makes a difference with the Truman 510 carto. Enough that I stopped using the adapter and got a few more cheap eGo clone batteries for use with them.

In filling the new Joye carto I opened it and got in to it with no problems and put in about 1/2ml of juice with a syringe. Let it sit for about 15 minutes giving it an occasional turn and then put in another 1/2ml. Then a little spin between the palms of my hands for a few seconds. I've always done that with cartos.

I'd ordered and received some 808 batt/510 adapters, attached one to a battery and put the new carto on and took a couple draws. I use 24mg nicotine normally in my juice and I think I've just got my first nicotine high/buzz.

Honest, serious, telling the truth. My wife walked into my den, saw the big clouds of vapor and walked out with my new cartos in her hand. I'm going to try to beg one or two off of her to use until I can order more.

I'm sold on these!

I use 808s too and don't care to use the adapter. Sadly I doubt that Joye will make an 808 version of these.

One thing I've found out already is that the adapter fits or it doesn't. If there isn't a good fit it lets too much air through and weakens the vape. The ones that fit good, you wouldn't even know they were there.

But ... an 808 version will be made by someone. These are going to become popular fast.

Oh yeah, I do think that somebody will make an 808 version soon. I don't mind using an adapter on my Riva but really prefer not to on my Buzz.
