Hi all. I am new here and an Australian vaper! I have been smoking 901's for around 3 weeks now. What I am looking for is an e-cig/mod that has the housing for a rechargeable battery that can be purchased at local hardware/electrical shops.

I am a fairly heavy vaper and have so far killed 2 batteries (yes they were cheap ones, not SLB but a poorer made version of the 901). I really like the 901 atomisers and seem to get good vape from them so would prefer a mod that can use them along with the 901 carts.

I have seen the Screwdriver. Are there any others? Please kindly link websites also. Thanks heaps :)

I got the Adaptever and you can order it for the 901. I am currently using it with the 510 attys and I like it a lot. I did get the 901 adapter, but I haven't used it yet since I gave all the 901 stuff I had to my 18 yr old son in hopes that he will stop smoking. I've also heard good things about the Silver Bullet and the Prodigy. They all use rechargable batteries, I had to order the batteries online, but I know some people have found them locally. The batteries only cost $2-$4 (usd) each. All of them have threads here, so you can find them easily by doing a search.

There are many that you will find right here on this site.

Silver Bullet by AltSmoke (my favorite)
The Prodigy by PureSmoker
ScrewDriver by Trog/Totally Wicked
Adaptever by Whatever (I'm not sure who sells it for him)
JantyStick
The GG (has it's own forum here you can check out)

All of these are definitely worth looking into. You'd be best served by doing a little research on each as they all have their own benefits and drawbacks.

Here are the premiere devices you are looking for other than the Silver Bullite which I don't believe is availably yet. The Prodigy and the GG are 5/6 volt PV's giving the biggest hit whereas the Stick and the Screwdriver are 3.7 volts that give a good hit, also, just not as pronounced as the 5/6 volt units.

The Big Seven in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette eLiquid Store
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: SmokeJuice - HOME
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.
AdapteverR: AdapteveR Home of the ORIGINAL USA built PV : Home

One comment. If you update your profile, and add your location, you may find you have others in your area who can help you out if needed. It never hurts to have a vaping friend.

Good luck on your search for the heavy hitter. Lot's of pro's here to help you out.

Cheers;

thanks guys.

As for the ban in Australia it so far hasn't effected my 3 orders. They all contained nicotine e-juice in small quantities and passed through customs.

From what I have read it is more the nicotine that has been (and always has been banned without written permission) as it is classed as a poison. I did read somewhere that e-cigs that closely resemble cigarettes are banned to sell, but not to use. I could be wrong, need to do more research.

I have vaped mine in a couple of pubs and also woolworths supermarket and no one has told me to stop. I'm sure it will happen at some stage though. Most people think it is cool! My lungs feel much healthier already!
