mods - if this is inappropriate please shut it down, with my apologies.
Hi folks - I'm looking for some people in and around San Diego willing to talk with me on-record regarding PV use, regulation, etc. I do a lot of freelance writing for a local paper, and one of the topics I've been following and intend to continue to follow is vaping from a legislative standpoint. Right now we've got several cities, as well as county government considering or in the process of updating muni code as it relates to vaping, mostly in a less-than-ideal fashion from a vape enthusiast perspective.
I have no problem getting in touch with people from the anti-vape side, whether they be legislators or activists. But I don't have a stable of go-to voices to provide a "pro" counter voice in situations where I'm not sitting in on a public meeting with a tape recorder.
To be clear up front: I report hard news - there's not going to be a "hooray for vape" editorial bias in any of my writing. That said, I want to give both sides an intelligent voice in my coverage, which is why I'm coming here rather than heading to the closest B&M and sticking a mic in the face of anyone willing to talk (and possibly quoting people some here would label "ANTZ").
I'd appreciate PMs from anyone who might be willing to help me out, either by agreeing to talk or exchange PMs/e-mails if I'm covering an issue that affects where you live. If I'm going to quote you, though, being a real person gives weight to what you have to say - "Jane Smith from Carlsbad" has a voice, "VapeChic143 from E-Cigarette-Forum.com" not so much.
Thanks!
