If by that you mean that sent PMs aren't being saved, go into Settings -- My Account -- General Settings. Down in Private Messaging you'll see the checkbox to save messages to Sent Items.

They should be saved by default without user alteration of preferences but it is what I meant. Thanks

Edit: I realize what the preferences mean by default is that messages will be saved implicitly, however selecting "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder", which is already defaulted to checked, does not save messages.

If we set it to default, then we get threads about "Why aren't my PM's working anymore?" when members reach their PM stored message limit. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

Have you tried sending a PM since you enabled this feature to see if it saves? PMs you sent before you did will not automagically appear.

The point was that even when the 'Save Copy' option was checked when composing a message but the general option to automatically save a copy was not enabled, then it did not save a copy. It does work when both options are selected.
