I recently purchased batteries from overseas and i was sent the wrong batteries, sending them back would take to long and i cant get them in South Africa. I need button top batteries but i was sent flat top batteries. I want to use them in my box mod but as you could probably guess they aren't making a connection. I was thinking of adding springs in between the space that is between the batteries and the part it needs to make connection with. Is that safe or not?

thanks in advance.

i would look for a button top adapter they are relatively new from what i have seen so you may have to do some digging to find who can get them out to you. It's probably your best option, not sure how adding an additional spring would effect things. That or find a longer spring to push the batter up further then the original does.

Adding a spring on the negative end is OK IMO. On the positive end it could slide under the plastic battery sheath and short it, which is dangerous.

Another option is to add a small magnet to the negative end. Putting one on the positive end is also considered a short risk.

Good luck with it!
