I have nothing but good things to say about Tim with Serenity Gear. He had not made a sleeve for a VVG yet, when I contacted him. With Lisa's help, I sent him the measurements and he had a sleeve in the mail the following day. The first one wasn't quite right, so he made the adjustments and sent me another one. I was also impressed that he used his own trusty Grand as a model.
Dealing with a fellow REOnaut is always a plus.

I've had mixed results Tim is very nice but I'm pretty hard on stuff and being a mechanic I often roll/crawl around on concrete floor and my first couple of holsters fell apart :( the strip of leather inside on the bottom was glued on and started to come apart as well as the stitching so I asked if he couple fix them and was told it might be better to to just buy some custom super reinforced with rivets all around which he would sell me at the same price so I purchased those and all was well for awhile till one of the rivets came apart because it was put was bent so I sent it back but when it was returned the new rivet was install the same as the old one and came apart as well so I gave up so now I have approximately $200 + worth of his holsters and the only 1 fully intact is for my grand that I don't carry any more :( but like I said before I'm really hard on them

Sorry about your holsters though. Maybe Lisa & Wayne can come up with a chainmail holster for you.

Beautiful work. I'm resisting so far but may have to give in.

If you have the money I say just go for it. If Tim made them for the Woodvil 18490 I would get one in a heartbeat. Just got a Woodvil on classifieds in very great condition and I would definitely feel better taking it with me wherever I go with a sleeve on it. Not to mention a leather sleeve on a wood mod would look awesome with a glass of scotch and a full beard.
